The photo album represents the best of us. Each page immortalizes a moment in time with smiles and laughs. Birthday parties. Graduations. Weddings. Every picture is a snapshot of happiness, memories to be solidified in the life of a family. In this way, the photo book is a relic, an artifact that says we existed and our time on this planet was beautiful.
But what the photo album doesn't show are the moments between the pictures. The arguments and fights that persist every day for years. The familial sadness is forgotten in lieu of the album's comforting facade of joy.
