Richie always bought the same present. Christmas. Birthday. Anniversary. Graduation. Always a pair of socks. And it didn't matter who it was either. Nephew. Grandma. Roommate. Co-worker. They all got socks.
Everyone laughed at how predictable he was. The fact that Richie gave socks as a present was practically a law of physics, like gravity or the speed of light.
Then Richie went on to create the largest sock company the world had ever seen. Now they all owned first generation Richie exclusives, prized possessions worth over a million dollars apiece. Never mind that they couldn't keep any toes warm.
