PTSD, a heavy burden to bear,
Memories of trauma, always there.

Intrusive thoughts, they won't disappear,
Reliving the past, always near.

Flashbacks and nightmares, a daily fight,
Triggers and panic, a constant plight.

Emotions on edge, feeling so scared,
PTSD, a wound that can't be repaired.

Isolation and avoidance, a coping skill,
But it only leads to loneliness and ill-will.

The burden of PTSD, hard to convey,
To those who haven't felt it every day.

But there is hope, a light in the dark,
Therapy and support, a vital spark.

Recovery is possible, a path to take,
PTSD, a battle we can ultimately break.
