Release

Release, oh sweet release,
The freedom that we seek,
The letting go of all that's held,
The peace that we must speak.

It's like a weight that's lifted off,
A burden we can't bear,
A sudden lightness in our hearts,
That lifts us in the air.

It's like a breath we've held too long,
That's finally set free,
A rush of air that fills our lungs,
And lets us simply be.

It's like a storm that's finally passed,
And left us in its wake,
A calmness in the aftermath,
That soothes our every ache.

For release is a precious gift,
A moment of pure bliss,
A chance to let go of it all,
And find the peace we miss.

So let us seek release each day,
And let go of our fears,
For in the act of setting free,
We'll find our truest tears.

And in those tears, we'll find ourselves,
In all our pain and grace,
For release is the path to love,
And to a brighter place.
