A memory

A memory is a precious thing,
A treasure trove that we can bring,
Out of the depths of our mind,
To relive the moments left behind.

It's a picture that we can see,
A sound that echoes in our memory,
A feeling that we can still feel,
A scent that can make our senses reel.

A memory can be bittersweet,
A reminder of a time we cannot repeat,
Of people we may never see again,
And places we may never regain.

But in a memory, we can find,
A comfort that will ease our mind,
A reminder of the love we've known,
And the kindness that we have shown.

For memories are the threads that bind,
The moments that make us who we find,
The laughter, love, and joy we've shared,
And the times we've shown that we cared.

So hold on tight to every memory,
And cherish them for eternity,
For in the end, they're all we'll keep,
As we drift into eternal sleep.
