Left behind, all alone,
Abandoned in this place I've known.
No one to hold or call my own,
A feeling of emptiness has grown.
The silence is deafening,
Echoing through the halls.
Reminding me of what I've lost,
A love that once stood tall.
The memories still linger,
Haunting me day and night.
A constant reminder,
Of the one who took flight.
I try to shake the feeling,
But it won't let me be.
The pain of abandonment,
Is all that I can see.
I long for someone to come,
To fill this empty space.
But until then I'll carry on,
In this lonely, abandoned place.
