*FIRST YEAR*

*Ollie's pov*

"Coming Dellie!" I yelled, frantically tearing apart my room for my glasses. Yes, I am officially the first Lynch sibling to own a pair. Guess I got the bad genes, huh. Today was my first day at Tommen. Shan and Joe had long graduated and Tadhg is starting third year today. Soon even little Seany will be joining us, crazy right? Since we had been taken in by Johnny Kavanagh's parents, life had flown by just like that. I try not to dwell on the past too much, I mean life is so much better for us now, but it does get to me sometimes. That's why I love reading, Tadgh calls me a nerd for it but he doesn't get it. Being smart is the only way I can make sure i'll be successful in life. Being succesful in life means I can follow in the footsteps of my dad , John Kavanagh rather than ending up like a Teddy Lynch kinda guy. "YES!" I grabbed my glasses which had somehow been wedged between my bed and the current book I was reading and stuffed them on my face. Grabbing my schoolbag, I slung it on my back, tightened my slightly too big tie for the millionth time, and readjusted my headphones, which were playing 'ivy' by my absolute most favourite singer in the world, Frank ocean. I did one final check to see if I had everything I needed for my first day and with a deep breath to calm my nerves, strolled downstairs to join the others for breakfast.

"Omigosh Ols you look so handsome in that uniform!" Shannon exclaimed, "Tommen is for real lucky to have you."
"Thanks Shan." I grinned, grabbing one of Dellies most famous pancakes.
"Wow Ols, talk about a first impression. Maybe loosen your tie a little, untuck your shirt? All the girls are gonna think you're such a nerd."
Before I had a chance to reply, Mrs Kavanagh shuffled into the kitchen, "Now Tadhg be nice to your brother on his first day! " She rolled her eyes, her voice wavering a little. "And Shan's right Ollie you look absolutely lovely." Dellie was good at hiding her emotions but even I could tell she was getting a bit emotional. I smiled shyly, "Thanks Dellie, and you don't have to worry about me. I'll be fine."
I hope at least.

"Now good luck today brother, but don't you dare think about talking to me today unless it's an absolute emergency, you hear me? Can't be seen hanging about with a first year." Tadhg proclaimed, punching me playfully on the arm before strolling with confidence towards his many friends from the hurling team. Rolling my eyes, I walked through the gates in attempt to locate my first class.
