"Yes, I promise Mum." I roll my eyes at Ollie who was staring back at me with a blank expression on his face. He walks behind me to push me up the driveway to our cottage my friends and I are staying at. "And wear condoms please."
"Mother, what the fuc-"
"Don't finish that sentence. I know you are sexually active, Am. It doesn't take a genius to know that."
"Yeah we can all hear you through the walls 'Ollie! Ollie! Oh my gosh, Ols I'm going to-'"
"SHUT UP JADEN!" I scream down the line. I was on a call with my family to see me off on my trip.
"It's not a big deal, hun. We know what happens when two hot people are in a room together with hormones."
This cannot be happening right now. "Dad, Dad they are just joking."
"Amilie, I'm well aware of what you do in your spare time." I hear him say down the line. My face goes bright red as my nightmare comes to life. Are you kidding me?
"As I said honey, just be safe and use protection."
"Okay, now you are taking the mick."
"Call me if you need anyth-" I hang up not bearing to take another second of that horror.
"Wear protection." Ollie tries to hold in his laugh but fails miserably. I turn to glare at him but he only laughs harder. "It's not funny!"
"Sure it is." He grins slapping my ass.
"Can they not see us?" Maeve waves her hands in the air.
"Sorry! Let's go in then."
Saying the cottage was cozy was an understatement. Yellow lights hang all around the place, stockings on the mantel piece and a massive Christmas Tree was placed in the middle of the living room.
"Omigosh!"
"It's so pretty!"
"Finn, your parents are wonders for letting us borrow this."
"For real."
"Dibs this bed!" I hear Ella yell from what I presume to be one of the bedrooms upstairs. Drawing back the massive clear door, I take a deep breath as I see the most magnificent backyard. Snow had fallen all over the grass and placed in the middle was a hot tub.
"You know we will be using that." Ollie whispers in my ear, voicing my thoughts outloud.
"Whatever you say." I smirk up at him.
"Okay guys, who's cooking?" Liliana looks around. "Don't look at me because we all know that I'll burn it."
"Fine, I will." Ollie steps in because no one else does. "But you're helping me." He pulls my waist so I was staring up at him, my hands planted on his chest.
"Argh, fine."
"Okay guys, we are going out to get the ingredients." My boyfriend pulls on my hand, leading me to the door.
"Wait, let me get changed."
"You're so beautiful." Ollie sits on our bed watching me pace back and forth dressing.
"And you're so handsome." I walk over to him and sit on his lap.
"Can you believe that this our bedroom, like our shared one."
"Nope." I look around but then settle my gaze on his face. "But let's make the use of it."
Both of mouths pull up into a smirk. "But not now as we need to get the food, everyone's hungry." I bop his nose.
"Well then, we will have to make up for it later." He digs his hands into me so I arch forward into him. He kisses me and slaps my ass.
"You're really loving my ass lately aren't you?"
"Of course."
"No hesitation."
"None, whatsoever." He breathes millimeters apart from my lips.
"Well we need to go."
"We do."
Unwillingly, I force myself to get off his lap and continue to get ready.
We pay for our items in this small, brightly coloured shop. It really stood out as outside was darkening by the second. "We remembered the eggs right?"
"We sure did, baby."
"Okay phew." I relax but then tense as I see a small hill we had to walk up. "Since when did this hill get here?"
"You're saying that like we live here."
"Yeah bu-"
"Come on, you."
"Money, please." Kai holds out to his hand to Liliana. Sitting around in the dimly lit sitting room, we all play monoply and so far Kai was winning.
"Can you stop winning."
"No. You're just a sore loser." He sticks his tongue out at Maeve who just flips him off in response. "But it's okay because you're my sore loser."
"Awww."
"Shut up."
"Guys, it's so late we need to head up so we can get up early tomorrow." We all groan at Aidan. "Suit yourself." And with that, he gets up and leaves us staring after him.
"Okay guys, let's listen to the guy that's not very fun at parties.
