*DAY 2*

*Ami's pov*

I twist and turn in my bed. The bright light shining in was so uncomfortable to sleep in. It was bound to be at least 8 so I might as well just get up in a second. I turn around to try snuggle in Ollie...who wasn't there. What? I actually pull myself up this time and check around. There was an empty space instead of him. No note, nothing. I groan reaching for my phone.

'Where are you?' I text him.
'Gym.' I get a response a few minutes later.
'Could have let me know.'
'My bad, sorry.'

I huff throwing my phone down on the bed. Our chemistry has been so off lately and I don't know what to do. I thought what happened yesterday evening fixed it but I guess not. I guess it was just pity sex. I roll my eyes and get up to get ready.

"You don't understand, this isn't us." I tell Ella at breakfast. "It isn't just an off day, it's more like off weeks." I growl throwing down my fork.
"Hmmm. Tried being intimate?"
"Yeah, that always helps me." Liliana pipes in.
"Yeah, we can tell." Maeve sniggers when Liliana tries to hit her.
"Yes is the answer to your question by the way."
"Just talk to him." Maeve shrugs.
"Okay." I huff. "Okay, okay."
"Good. Now where is Mia?"
My shoulders tense at the sound of her name, she always causes trouble. Personality or not, she shouldn't act like that.
"I'm here!" She joins us at the table, a crossiant in hand.
"There's crossiants?" She nods in response. "Good." I draw back my chair and wonder off to the buffet.
I come back 5 minutes later so see Mia sitting next to Ollie. My Ollie. Argh, fuck off already. "I see that you found my boyfriend." I emphasise the 'my' to make her uncomfortable.
"Hi Am." Ollie speaks instead.
"Hey Ols." I give him a smile. "How was the gym?"
"Good, did some weights."
Why was this so awkward. "That's good then."
"Who wants to go to the pool after this then?" Aidan asks around. Everyone agrees and the idea was settled.

"Am, I think you are right." Maeve taps my tummy. We were sunbathing on the deck that overlooked the pool.
"Right about what?"
"Mia." I snap up immediately, eyes heated.
"What's that fucker up to now?"
She points at the pool. My gaze instantly settles on Ollie playing water volleyball with Aidan, Finn, Ella and Liliana. But then I see Mia. Ollie was on her team and when they scored she rushed to hug him. She jumped on him like a wild dog. Argh, I swear down.
"I'm actually gonna do harm to her." My eye twitches as I watch him laugh with her.
"I would say chill down but I feel the same way."
I snap out of it and turn to her. "Thank you! Someone actually agrees."
"Yeah, that girl is trouble."
The bitch herself then begins to play fight with Ollie, putting her hands all over him. Yes, play fight. Play fighting is our thing. I growl getting up, I have had enough of this. I step onto the edge of the pool and do an effortless dive into it. I spot them and swim over, making my way to my boyfriend. "Lynch." I call out but he doesn't hear me. I get closer and untangle them myself, stepping inbetween them. "Can I talk to you?"
"Sure, baby." I pull his arm away.
"Ooo look who's in trouble now." Finn mocks him.
"Oh, piss off." I wave him off.
"Someone's angry." I hear in the distance.

"So what did you want to talk to me about?" He asks me when we are alone.
"Play fighting, really?"
He shakes his head. "Not this again. She's like a sister."
"Not in everyone else's eyes."
"Since when did you care about everyone else."
"Since-" I take a big breath. "Oliver, you may not get it but I am uncomfortable with you being that close to her."
"Okay, I'll stop."
"Thank you." My shoulders visibly relax.
"You didn't need to be that panicked." He nods at my shoulders. "You know I only have eyes for you."
A weight feels as if it has been lifted off my shoulders. "I just needed to hear you say that."
"Baby, you know that."
"I just..." I shake my head.
"You just what?"
"Feel as if we have been really distant lately."
He pauses. "Yeah, I feel that too." We hover around for a bit before he leans in and kisses me. "And it needs to stop."
I smile up at him. "Yeah?"
"Yes, princess." My heart races at the sound of that word on his tongue. One word could make my tummy flip, one word and I have no concern in the world.
"I love you."
"I love you too." He pulls me in again, taking me in in one quick sweep.
