*Ollie's pov*

Jesus Christ, had I really grown that much? I felt the eyes of hormonal girls everywhere I turned, and I had just walked into the building. My cheeks flushed with heat and I walked with my head down into my first class. Surprisingly, there was only one seat left in the first row, and the girl sat next to it caught my eye. I would know that brown hair anywhere, Amilie Carter had made an appearance once again. I swiftly slipped into the spare seat next to her without her seeing. After all, I'd rather sit next to her and deal with the awkwardness after last year, than not sit at the front. Waiting patiently for her to notice my presence, I began to write my name on my new book for this year. Feeling her staring at me, I turned my head to meet her gaze. After not paying much attention to her last year, she had changed quite a bit. Her silky brown hair was significantly longer, tied back into a ponytail which naturally flicked at the ends, with two strands of hair pulled out of the front. Messy but in a put together way if that makes sense. "Can't get rid of me that easily." I grinned.

It was last period, maths. Now normally I would be the one to answer most of the teachers questions. But for some reason, Ami was giving me a run for my money. The whole day she had been keeping me on my toes, challenging me to the core. I always thought she was an average student, never really gave much thought to it. But this year something changed, because even I'm struggling to keep up with her. "That's correct Amilie, well done. Oliver, you were going to say the same thing, I presume?"
"Uh yeah." I blushed. The fuck? I really gotta step it up here. I somehow felt the urge to compete with this girl, do better than her. Almost like an instinct. Guess I've got to compete to be top of the class this year, Ami had better watch out.
