*FOURTH YEAR*
*Ami's pov*
I lean against my locker sighing. Let me update you on my summer:
1. I had grown taller- from 5'5 to 5'7 to be exact.
2. My body has completely changed- my curves were way more prominent earning stares and open mouths from my other classmates.
3. I cut my hair into a butterfly cut for a new start.
4. I redid my wardrobe completely making my father tut every time he saw me. They were revealing and emphasised my curves.
5. I have gotten more friendly with Declan. He actually wasn't bad.
6. Instead of going out, I was crying in my room all summer listening to 'Silver Soul' by Beach House. I had lost Ollie. He was my boyfriend, my bestfriend, my partner in crime and now he was a stranger. It was so was awkward now with all my friends that I just gave up trying to see them properly. What has life become.
"Hey you." Declan strolls over to me with a big smile on his face. "It feels like I haven't seen you in ages."
"Oh hey." I smile up at him. Even though I had grown, he still towered over me easily. "What's up?"
"This evening." He pouts. I roll my eyes. "When are you going to stop asking me out?" I shake my head but still smile.
"When you actually go out with me."
"You really are a pain sometimes, Holland."
"So is that a yes?"
"Argh fine, yes."
He does a small dance earning a laugh from me. "Chill down, Michael Jackson." I hear Maeve as she joins us. "What's all the commotion?"
"Your bestfriend said yes to this evening."
"Where are we going?" I ask him throwing my books into my locker.
"This fancy restaurant I found so dress nicely."
"Okay." I grin at him and then turn on my heels sighing when he couldn't see me. "Are you really considering dating him?" Maeve links arms with me.
"It's not like we are a couple, it's only one dinner, how bad could it be?"
Walking into the lunch hall I breathe deeply. I am going to have to face Ollie now. We were in the same friend group and we both love our friends to pieces and can't make them pick. Besides, I am over him now. I walk over to the table expecting to find the Ollie I left back on the cruise but instead found someone completely different. How can someone change and glow up this many times in their life. He slams his tray down and sits down next to Finn who clips him on the back smiling. He had grown so tall, like 6'0 now. His curls grew forming a majestic cloud on his head. His muscles seeped even more through his school shirt making it stretch. His jawline was so prominent and why was it annoying me? I sat down the furthest away from him but his presence annoyed me in a way I couldn't explain. I didn't even make any eye contact. I sat here for the good of the group not because I wanted to eat lunch with my ex.
