Hatred bubbled inside of me. How could teenage girls be this bitchy? Even Kieron was fucked up for cheating on this girl, I knew I hated him from the moment I laid eyes on that kid. And to make matters worse her father was in the hospital? Jesus. I got up and began to pace around the corridor to collect my rambling thoughts, puzzling why I even cared this much in the first place. Another sniffle from Ami caught my attention and my eyes softened at the sight of this girl slumped against the wall. I crouched down beside her once more, getting pissed wasn't helping with anything. "Hey Carter, you know you got this right?" I felt like I needed to say the right words to make her carry on. She seemed so done with all this shit, and honestly I don't blame her. "Shit gets tough, but it gets better trust me. I should know."
Ami sighed, "I know. It's just.. unfair." She burrowed her head into my chest, my arm automatically tightening around her shoulders, slotting perfectly into position. "And if you ever need help or anything, with your dad and stuff, I'm here if you need me."
"Thanks Ols, and I'm sorry about before. You've been so nice to me, and all I did was shove you away."
"It's okay, I get it." Knowing silence could go a long way, I just sat there with her, not caring that I was missing training. I just sat with my arm around this girl who had poured her heart out to me.
