Unexpected

SUMMER

Today was beach house day. Noah had his mate stay with him the night before.

Nova walked outside in a skirt and cut-off tank top, showing her belly button ring. She carried her duffle bag, ready for their three days of fun.

“You have everything you need?” Noah put her bag in the trunk.

“Yes, Sir, Alpha Knox.”

“Trying to be funny?” He looked at her.

“No, just showing my respect.”

She gave him a sweet smile, and his eyes darkened. His stare sent a tingle down her spine while her nipples perked underneath her black tank top. Noah smiled at his effect on her, causing her to shy away.

“I-I'll get in the car now.”

“You do that.” He closed the trunk.

Before she got in, a deep accented male voice spoke in the distance.

“You must be Nova. I’m Nikolas Bowman.”

He walked towards the car in a blue tailored suit and blonde slick back hair, sharing the same height and color eyes as his son. This was Nova's first time seeing him in person.

She walked towards him. “Nice to meet you, Mr. Bowman.”

They shook hands.

“Likewise. You found your mate at a good time, son.”

Noah smiled in her direction. “Yeah, I know.”

“And she’s a beautiful girl. Like father, like son.”

“Thanks, Pop. Are you going to the office this weekend?”

“No way. If it doesn't include walking around naked with your mother, I'm not interested.”

“Wow.” Noah chuckled.

“Ta mère m'a raconté ce qui s'est passé.” (your mother told me what happened)

Noah sighed. “Ce n'est pas mon enfant.” (It's not my kid)

“Yeah, I know.”

He put his hand on his son's shoulder.

“Ne vous inquiétez pas. Nous allons nous en occuper.” (Don't worry. We're going to take care of it)

Noah nodded his head, knowing his father meant what he said.

“Well, you two kids have fun and stay out of trouble.”

“We will.”

They both got in the blue camaro and made their two hours drive to some summer paradise.

“This place looks awesome. There's two floors!”

Noah smiled at Nova already being impressed.

“Go check it out. I got the bags.”

He gave her the key, and she kissed his cheek, then hurried to the door excited. The house was huge inside with modern decor, flat screens, and stainless steel appliances in the kitchen.

It had a big living room, a finished basement that’s a theater, and a deck out back. Once Nova saw the stairs to the second floor, she went to explore.

There was one bedroom downstairs and three bedrooms upstairs. The master suite was at the end of the hall.

Nova opened the door and beamed in awe.

“Oh, this is amazing.”

The suite had a balcony with a breathtaking view. Her smile couldn’t be hidden, but soon, a female voice interrupted her tour.
