FRIENDS

The first day at the beach house was already crazy. I had my first sexual experience, first orgasm which was amazing, and I almost witnessed a murder.

Now we're all outside on the deck while Noah puts food on the grill. You would've never thought that Akim had just tried to kill his friend the way all three of them were talking and laughing with each other.

It must be a male thing or something.

Fatima was actually pretty cool, and Lily was so sweet once she got comfortable. I learned that Fatima was already in college, and Lily was attending Rose Witch Coven in the fall like I was.

"What do you look forward to the most at the Coven?" I asked.

"The intricacies of spells and how they can be mixed and interchanged in different scenarios."

There was another energy that took over her when she spoke. It was like an innocent lamb that saw the beauty in darkness and was slowly seduced by it.

"What about you, Nova?" Her bubbly energy was back.

"I want to see how deep the craft can go and what source it truly pulls from."

"The devil, duh." Fatima spoke.

"Not true."

"Are you sure about that?"

"Yes."

She grinned. "And how would you know?"

"Because my mother was a witch."

Her eyes showed surprise along with Lily's smile.

"Why not just learn from her instead of going to Rose?" Fatima asked, sipping her tequila.

"She was exiled from the pack when I was young. I haven't seen her in years."

"Oh, my bad."

"I would love to hear more about your mom when you're comfortable."

I smiled at Lily. "Okay."

We decided to go for a swim while the food was cooking. There were other people on the beach, but thankfully, it still wasn't crowded.

There were a few pack members that saw Noah and decided to greet and talk to him. It was like he was a celebrity. They were even taking pictures with him.

I was getting in the water, then looked back at Noah, hearing his voice in my thoughts. It still freaked me out that we could communicate that way...but I like it too.

After a few swims, Lily and I joined Fatima on the big beach towel.

"So, how's it feel being the Alpha's mate?" Fatima asked, sipping from her red cup.

"It's nice."

"Just nice? It sounded more than nice earlier."

"What?"

"Girl, I'm a werewolf. I could hear you upstairs...I'm sure we all did."

"I didn't hear anything." Lily shrugged.

"Wait, are you both half-bloods?"

"Yes." Lily and I said in unison.

"Ugh, great."

Fatima's mood changed, and that didn't sit well with me. For the most part, I didn't have too many issues with full breed werewolves, and I was hoping to keep it that way.

"Is there going to be a problem?"

"No and if it was it doesn't matter since you two are fucking the Alpha and Beta of our pack."
