As I drove home, my hands shook, holding the steering wheel. I wished this day had never occurred or this pregnancy. The one thing I dreaded happening actually happened.
Akim turned on me.
If you kill my baby Lily, it's over between us.
It was like my first rejection all over again.
I understand he's upset, and some would say I'm taking his rights away. But how would you handle being forced to do something you were against?
If Akim wanting a child was so important to him, he should have discussed it with me before he marked me. He would have known my stance then made sure we planned our lives together and not on a whim.
Him being 21, me 19, and we're both in college, I figured having a baby was nowhere on the to-do list for us. Why does Akim get to dictate what I should do with the pregnancy? Especially since he's not the one that has to carry it or give birth.
If I get sick or lose my life, then what?
Oh, just take one for the team Lily, they got medication for that stuff. Or what a good mother, she brought a child into the world because a man said so but can't finish college because she died giving birth.
This could've been avoided if I had just remained a virgin or just stayed away from Akimitsu like I wanted to from the beginning.
When I pulled up to my home, I felt nauseous and quickly opened the car door to puke. Tears fell from my eyes, and I've never felt so alone in my life.
Bzzz.....bzzz.
I grabbed my phone but was disappointed that it was my mom and not Akimitsu. He really must be done with me. Even if I decided to keep the baby, I'll never forget the words he said.
"Hey, Mom."
"Hi sweetie, did you pick up the spaghetti sauce?"
I looked at the bag in the backseat. "Yeah, I'm about to go inside the house now."
"Awesome. I'll see you later."
"Okay." I said, then hung up.
My mom sounded so happy, and I didn't want to bother her with my problems. Her wedding is this weekend. Her happiness is my focus for now.
I texted Ms. Niya about pregnancy termination while I sat in my car. I felt emotionally and physically drained.
"Like I said before, mate life isn't for me."
Hi Lily. There's a clinic you can go to that will help you with your situation.
Ok, can I make an appointment now?
Sure, I'm affiliated with the clinic. I'll get you in if you want.
Ok, thanks. Is it for humans only?
No, it's for humans and hybrids. Do you have someone who can accompany you?
My eyes went over Ms. Niya's text message, then my sobs followed. Suddenly, I got angry. It was an anger I've never felt before, and my body heated up.
"I, Lily Rogers, reject you, Akimitsu Adachi, as my mate. We are no longer bound to one another."
After wiping my tears, I felt an indescribable pain in my chest. It took my breath away. I winced from the pain but took slow, deep breaths.
Bzzz.....bzzz.
My phone buzzed, and the name 'my love' came across the screen. Instead of excitement, disgust took over me.
