Seeing Akim's eyes glare at Monty, terrified me. I've seen him kill before but never in a fit of jealousy.
For some reason, I didn't believe that I was someone that a man would ever be possessive about. Especially not a man like Akimitsu.
He could have any woman he wants, and I'm also not a cheater in any way.
"Akim, why are you doing this?"
He began to walk forward, and I didn't fear him hurting me. He was angry, but I knew Akim wouldn't cause me harm.
When he was a few inches from me, my hand was taken by his.
"Is it not obvious?"
I looked up at him, then slowly shook my head as his eyes met mine.
"Monty has a thing for you."
The accused responded.
"Ha! That's absurd."
"We're just friends, Akim."
"And he wants more...he's not fooling me."
Monty began to walk towards us.
With a smirk on his face, my boyfriend moved me behind him. I've learned in a short time that my pack leaders enjoyed a good fight.
"Walking up means you wanna do something."
Monty rolled his eyes. "Grow up, Akimitsu. All I was trying to do was help Lily in both situations. It's not my fault you're insecure."
"I'm insecure because I know you're full of shit?"
"Lily, your boyfriend is a walking red flag who doesn't trust you. You need to run while you can."
His words didn't sit well with me.
"Whoa, Monty, you don't know him. So don't talk like you do."
His eyes widened at my response.
"You good, Monty!"
Behind us were two of his friends walking up. One of them shouted as Akim didn't budge while keeping his eyes on his target.
"I don't know...am I, Mr. Adachi?"
"Am I supposed to be scared?" I could see his eyes darken.
"Babe, let's just leave."
A crowd was slowly beginning to form, and I knew that this was going to make things worse.
Both of Monty's friends stood next to him like a united front. They stared at Akim in disgust.
"Why is this animal on campus? He doesn't attend the Rose Coven."
I could hear Akim growl at the other guy's words, and I squeezed his hand to calm him.
"Ay! You gotta fuckin' problem with werewolves?!"
"Fuck you, dhampirs!"
Amongst the crowd a few guys stepped forward, looking pissed. Dhampirs were vampire half humans which allowed them to walk in the daylight.
Monty and his friends began to look around. They realized my boyfriend wasn't the only 'animal' there.
"Akim? Baby, let's go home and talk."
Nova walked towards us then grabbed his arm, trying to help.
"Come on, big bro."
Akim walked away as the ruckus continued from the crowd. The last thing I need is my boyfriend killing students.
