Akimitsu, Darnell, and I walked into the conference room with all eyes on us.

A few potential allies were in attendance, and by the look on the elders' faces, this was going to be a long meeting.

We took our seats and got straight to it. Akim set up the presentation while I welcomed our guests.

"Thank you all for coming. We appreciate your time, and hopefully, this meeting will be progressive."

"Are there copies of this presentation?" Elder Simon asked.

"Of course. That will be given to you."

Akim smirked while passing out the packets. I already knew what I was dealing with when it came to these particular four.

The presentation was on our werewolf pack's economics. Two years ago, there were little to no profits due to me putting a hold on the majority of our trades.

As expected, that sent the elders into a rage, but I knew the anger was stemming from me getting rid of some of their folk, old ways of thinking, and doing business.

We had to make a few changes in the treasury, which stopped a lot of functions. The numbers weren't adding up.

When I hired a new accounting team that Akim was in charge of, we discovered the money was indeed not being handled properly.

Money was miscounted and not reported. Finding out that we had over $3.2 million in taxes and profits just collecting dust, I decided to make a whole lot of changes.

We could've used that money for a lot of things: playground, building a high school, hospital equipment upgrades along with our elementary and middle schools.

Last year, the transition of new incoming staff went smoothly, and things relaunched successfully. This year was even better, which caused many to take notice.

"The high school has begun construction. The hospital has hired more staff. Our bank has been in full operation for a year and has had outside borrowers seeking our assistance for lending."

"Why not keep lending with only our pack?"

"That would create minimal growth compared to high incoming numbers from outsiders. Non-pack borrowers bring in more money and give us more opportunities to make allies...hence these three gentlemen sitting across from you."

Donovan, Wes, and Carlos were alphas from the surrounding areas. Wes was close with my brother and expressed to me that his loyalty still stood even after Moses was gone.

That meant a lot to me.

Elder Willis shifted in his chair, and I knew he wasn't feeling what I was telling them.

"Why should we trust this allyship? What do they gain from it?"

"The high school that is being built is intended for werewolves and werewolf hybrids only. Their kids will be welcomed to attend instead of trying to blend in with humans at Forest Jackson."

"Taxes will be paid by the residents of this pack to fund our high school. Will these outside packs be contributing to the school?"

"Absolutely. We will definitely handle our end of the expenses." Carlos answered.

Prior to this meeting, the three alphas and myself had already calculated everything. They were more than excited for the new high school to be built.

I knew that regardless of the positive results, the elders weren't ever going to give me my props. It's a good thing I didn't need there validation or I'd be mentally fucked.
