After what took place at the Miriam Lodge Warehouse, Akim wanted us to get away for a few days.

I made sure my Rose Coven assignments were completed and any future work was given to me.

Luckily, my professors worked with me and allowed me to get things ahead of time. I guess keeping a high GPA helps.

Akim booked a beautiful cozy cabin for us free of charge. I also guess being with the beta of our wolf pack has its perks.

Akimitsu smiled, then got our bags. We walked inside together, and my awe didn't cease.

"Have you stayed here before?"

"Yes and alone."

I giggled. "It's okay if you were with someone before."

"I know, but I wasn't."

He smiled, then kissed my lips. I instantly blushed at how sweet he is and him being so fine.

"Um..how many rooms are there?"

There were two regular size rooms to the right and a master bedroom to the left down the hall. I hurried to the suite and leaped onto the queen size bed.

I stretched my arms and legs while Akim put our bags on the sofa near the window.

"Honey, this room is amazing!"

Next, I went into the on-suite bathroom. From the corner of my eye, I could see Akim staring at me as he went through his bag.

His energy was different ever since we arrived at the cabin. I shrugged it off and continued my mini tour.

Later that night, we had dinner and then sat out on the balcony. We cuddled up in our pajamas on one of the lounge chairs with a beautiful view of the moon and lake.

"When's the last time you talked to your parents?" I asked.

"It's been a year."

"Oh wow... Is that on purpose?"

"Definitely on my end. I don't hate my parents. They're just too dysfunctional for me."

"I'm sorry for asking you about them. That was stupid."

"No it wasn't. You can ask me anything you want." He tipped my chin up, then kissed my lips, and I smiled.

"Well...I'm really enjoying myself, babe. Thank you for bringing me here with you."

"No need to thank me. I wouldn't have it any other way."

He made my heart so full. My body acted on its own, and I kissed Akim on the lips. That's all it took for him to take over.

His lips were on my neck coordinating with his hands, pulling me in closer. The warmth from his body felt nice against me, countering the night's cool air.
