After overhearing Akim and Noah's conversation, I was absolutely devastated. It's been a week, and I've been staying home with my mom so I can clear my head.

I've been trying to have hope that I wasn't pregnant, but the five pregnancy tests took away every ounce of denial that I was hanging on to.

"I'm not ready to be a mother."

My mom walked around in pure bliss about getting married soon. I didn't want to spoil her happiness with my drama. Plus, I was too ashamed to tell her that I let someone get me pregnant.

I've always been responsible and told myself I would wait until marriage or at least until I finished college to get seriously involved with someone.

But when you find your mate, all those plans go out the window. Still, I should have been more responsible, especially since it was my first time having sex.

I can't believe it was my first time and now I'm pregnant.

Akim was blowing up my phone, but he's the last person I want to see or talk to.

Petals, I understand you hate me right now, but please just let me know you're okay.

I don't hate him, I'm just really pissed at myself for trusting him with my body. For some reason, I thought that Akim would look out for me and make sure I would be okay.

Him giving me false hope about Plan B really hurt my feelings, too. He made me feel stupid for not researching things first.

But at the same time, I'm responsible for myself. I can't put all the blame on him.

I sighed and texted him back.

I'm fine.

After pressing send, my phone buzzed again, and I ignored it.

My mind needed some distraction, so I went to Rose Coven to do some reading in the library and turn in some extra credit for a few classes.

I spent an hour in the library and made my way to the cafeteria for a snack. Akim was still trying to call but lesson the number of times.

"What am I going to do with a baby? I'm only 19." I talked to myself.

"Hi, Lily. How are you?"

I smiled when I saw my teacher from my Medical Healing Class.

"Hi, Mrs. Woodson. I'm fine and you?"

"I'm well, thank you for asking. I just wanted to say hello, now I'm on my way to grade some papers."

It hit me that Mrs. Woodson is a witch but fully human and married to the Alpha of the Southern Pack, Jaxon Woodson.

She introduced him to a few of the students when he came up to the school one day to pick her up. They have twin boys together.

"Um, would you mind if I came with you?"

"Not at all, but it may be boring."

"It's-It's okay..."

Mrs. Woodson looked at me with squinted eyes, then she smiled.

"You know what, I may need your help...so follow me."

Once we got to the classroom, she shut the door. Mrs. Woodson pulled a chair up to her desk and sat down.

"Have a seat."

I did as she said but couldn't bring myself to look at her.

"So, do you wanna talk about it?"

My eyes widened towards her. "Talk about what?"
