After our encounter with my father, we decided to go to Noah's home. This would be the first time his parents met my mother, and I was nervous.

Once we pulled up, Mrs. Bowman came out to greet us. I could tell my mother was a little nervous too.

"You must be Laticha...it's a pleasure to finally meet you."

"Likewise, Mrs. Bowman, I've heard wonderful things about you and Mr. Bowman."

"No, please, call me Cassandra and my husband Nikolaus."

She gently grabbed my mother's hand, then gave her a warm hug. I could see the tension release from my mom's body.

We all walked inside, and the night was off to a wonderful start.

After a few minutes, Noah's dad joined us. We all talked, laughed, ate, and drank to our hearts' desires.

Of course, I didn't have any wine. I'm still not 21 yet.

"How do you like being Luna so far?" Mr. Nikolaus asked.

"It is fulfilling, and I look forward to earning my keep. I want the pack to know that I am serious about my role and being supportive of their Alpha."

Noah softly squeezed my thigh under the table.

"Well, I don't think that will be hard for you at all. You have such a welcoming and pure spirit, Nova." Mrs. Cassandra said.

My mother smiled proudly.

Noah's phone buzzed. It was Akim, so he took the call.

We continued our conversation, and questions were asked about my mother's departure from my life. I thought Noah would have given his parents a heads up. He must've felt it was up to my mom to share.

"Well, I'm not sure if your son informed you, but I am the woman whose life he saved years ago."

They both looked surprised, which confirmed them not knowing.

"Oh my goodness. Noah didn't tell us the woman was Nova's mother..."

"Mrs. Cassandra, he didn't know until recently. None of us did."

"What made you come back?"

"My ban statute expires in a few days, so I just decided to come a little early. Thankfully, I did because my daughter was being threatened."

"By who?!" Noah's parents looked upset.

"The Chanel girl's mother and a bunch of assholes. But I took care of them."

"You did?"

I spoke up. "Yes, my mother is a high-level witch."

Another surprise look showed on their faces. This was another thing they didn't know.

"High level is very powerful and..."

"Dangerous." Mr. Nikolaus finished his wife's sentence.

"Sorry, I had to take that call. We're still ironing out the police report of what happened earlier."

"I didn't mean to cause you problems, Noah."

"Ms. Laticha, when it comes to Nova's protection...you can burn that place down for all I care. As long as my fiance is safe."

I blushed at being called that.

I'm going to use the restroom...meet me in a few minutes.

Noah's deep voice played in my thoughts. He could definitely smell my arousal.
