Reagan actually came to the company to look for her. He didn't really come for inspection.
The other workers he fired all looked at Stella with pleading eyes. Two of them were her work friends.
" Stella please, help us beg the boss not to fire us, he might listen to you, please Stella, I don't want to lose this job!" Linda begged as she held Stella's hand.
Stella too didn't want to see her leave. She could only say, "I don't think the boss will listen to me, he might think that because I was pardoned I want to use it to my advantage, sorry but I can't help you, try asking Clara, maybe she can help." Stella said.
Their eyes were wet with tears. Before you can find a job in Country X, it was like going through hell.
Stella also knew how hard it was before she was employed. She felt pity for them. Despite the fact that she wanted to help them but couldn't, some workers still gossiped her.
" She can't even try and help a friend, the boss forgave her but she couldn't still try and plead for her friends. If it was the other way round and she was the one in their shoes, I would have loved to watch a good show."
Stella ignored them and continued cleaning her office. As expected, when she turned around, she saw a tall figure resting her office door.
She didn't know how long he had been standing there watching her. Her face suddenly turned red.
She quickly looked down and said, "Boss, do you have anything you want me to do?"
Reagan looked around her office and saw that she had already tidied everywhere. He walked into the office and stood in front of her work desk. His long and slender finger drew a long line on the desk.
He looked at it and showed it to her.
Stella understood what he meant and quickly picked up a napkin. She stood at the side of the table and stretched her hand to clean it. When she looked at the napkin, it had brown stains on it.
Reagan watched every move she made. His dark eyes stared at her for a long time.
Stella noticed his quietness and slowly raised her head to look at him. When her eyes collided with his, she felt lost in them. For some reason she couldn't look away. The way he looked at her seemed like he was trying to find something in her eyes. The coldness in his eyes had already dissipated and it was replaced by a kind of affection she didn't quite understand.
An unexpected phone call broke the silence in the room. Stella didn't dare to answer the call and only stole a glance at the caller's ID.
Reagan adverted his gaze and looked at her one last time before walking out of the office. Stella watched his straight back and breathed a sigh of relief. She hadn't taken out the trash yet and she hoped that he wouldn't see it.
Reagan didn't leave the company, instead he went to the location of the new department that was been built. The workers were much so the speed rate was faster.
After watching them for some time, he went to his office. In every company he owned or managed, he always had his own private office.
The office had already been maintained so he leisurely rested his back on the chair and operated his phone. He took a day off work to visit his other company so he didn't go to Brighton's co-operation.
Stella packed all the trash into a bin bag and walked towards the back door. Before she could reach the door, Linda and her other friend appeared in front of her. Their eyes were red and teary.
" Stella please, I beg you to help us, Clara said she couldn't help us, you are our only hope now. Please just try and ask, if he says no then we will leave." Linda didn't want to leave.
