Chapter 16 Finding the girl from that night.

Reagan looked up at her tearful face without any signs of pity." If they laugh at you what does it have to do with me, did I tie you down and tell you not to get married, there other men out there that are outstanding and good enough to marry you, why do you keep sticking to me?"

" No, I will never leave you Reagan, I won't marry another man, you are the only one my heart beats for, marry me please, I will do anything you want me to do." Adriana was in a state of panic. She held onto Reagan's arm and cried pitifully.

" What if I tell you that I already had a child with someone else, what will you do?" Reagan suddenly asked.

Adriana's eyes widened in shock. " Don't scare me Reagan, don't lie to me, you would never do such a thing behind your grandfather's back. It's impossible."

" If it's true, will you leave me and continue with your life?" Reagan asked.

" No, I will never leave you Reagan, I will rather become your second wife." Adriana begged.

" It's getting late, you should go home." Reagan said as he continued with his work. He didn't want to talk about this matter anymore.

Adriana put on a fake smile and said, " Ok, if young master wants me to go home then I will go home but Reagan, think about what I said earlier, your grandfather is getting older, don't make him wait any longer." After that, Adriana opened the door and walked out after putting on her coat.

She needs to think of a plan. When she goes to visit the old master again, she will bring this matter up and make him pressure Reagan to marry her.

You won't be able to escape from me Reagan.

Adriana gracefully walked out of the president's elevator. Sure enough, all the female workers looked at her with envious eyes.

" For the fact that she took the president's elevator means that she's very close to the boss."

" Yes, it had been long since the boss went up, I'm sure they were together, maybe she's the boss soon to be wife."

" Didn't you hear that she had been married to the boss since they were young, it's normal for her to come and visit him. I'm envious of her, she's really pretty and she has a good figure, why won't the boss be interested in her."

Adriana smiled after hearing their words but what made her sad was what the last worker said. She was pretty and had a good figure but why was Reagan not interested in her.

His words earlier made her heart restless, what if he truly had a child with another woman, will she still be able to marry into the Brighton family. No, I won't let that happen, I will find that shameless woman and make her life miserable.

Adriana got into her car and the driver drove away.

In the top floor, Reagan was absent minded. He recalled everything Adriana said. His grandfather was getting older and made only one request to him and that was for a grandchild.

His grandfather made more than five request to Ryan and Ryan fulfilled everything but he couldn't fulfill the one request his grandfather made to him. Wasn't that embarrassing.

He didn't want to marry Adriana but he needed to give his grandfather a grandchild.

Reagan suddenly remembered. He needed to find the girl from that night, only she could help him get out of this mess. He didn't care if it was a son or a daughter, as far as she had a child, he will gladly bring her back to the Brighton family.

He quickly pulled out his phone from his pocket and dialed Blake's number. The call connected immediately.

" Hello, boss do you need anything?" Blake's voice came from the other end.

" Investigate what happened three years ago, that night at shining diamond hotel and club, find any informations you can about that girl and bring them to me." Reagan's voice carried a hint of impatience as he spoke.

" Ok, I will give you a reply as soon as possible."

Reagan ended the call then tiredly pinched the spaces between his eyebrows. His mind drifted to the girl that worked in the Fairytale Book company. Everytime he saw her, the blurry image of the girl from that night always flashed in his eyes. He would find time to chat with her. If she was the one, heaven had really smiled on him but if she's not the one then he had to keep searching.

In the princess decorated room, Sophia and Katherine sat on the bed.

" Mum, things are not going as planned, Stella is about to live a life beyond our reach, if she succeeds then we are all done for." Sophia's said in a low voice, only the two of them could hear.

" What do you mean by she's about to live a life beyond our reach, what happened?" Katherine became anxious. Sophia's tone meant that something was about to happen.

" Mum the unknown man from that night was Reagan!" Sophia couldn't hold it anymore.

" What!, How could it be Reagan?" Katherine asked.

" I didn't know the man was Reagan if not I could have entered the room by myself and throw Stella into another room, I was so careless." Sophia replied unhappily.

" What are we going to do now, does Reagan know she's the one, but how do you know that the man was Reagan?" Katherine still wanted to confirm.

" Do you remember my last birthday banquet Reagan attended which was three years ago, that night he said he was already married and had a wife so he couldn't marry me. He showed everybody a golden sun ring as proof that he was married and said that the silver moon ring was with his wife. At that time nobody knew who his wife was. Some days ago I travelled to Country X and I happen to bump into Stella there. After confronting her, I got angry and was about to walk away when I suddenly saw the silver moon ring on her ring finger. I was shocked mum, what should we do?" Sophia said as she searched her head for a plan.

Katherine fell into deep thoughts. After thinking for some time she asked, "Sophia does Reagan know that Stella is the girl from that night?"

Sophia raised her head and stared at the city outside. " No, I don't think he knows if not he could have already brought her back to the Brighton family and publicly announce that she was his wife but he hasn't done that."

" Then it looks like he doesn't remember who the girl from that night was, Sophia, this is a good chance for you to marry into a wealthy first class family, just get that ring and everything is done." Katherine said with a triumphant smile on her face.

Sophia smiled at her mum. Her wish was about to come through but there was still another obstacle that needed to be dealt with. " Mum, if I get the ring and successful enter into the Brighton family, what are we going to do about her daughter?" This was another problem Sophia was thinking of how to get rid of.

" What! She has a daughter, why didn't you say that earlier?" The smile on Katherine's face disappeared.

" Yes, she has a daughter and her daughter looks alot like Reagan, we need to get rid of her before Reagan sees her if not he will find Stella and then everything will be over. From one look even an outsider can guess that she's Reagan's daughter." Sophia said with anger. Why did Stella deserve to have a good life like this.

Katherine smiled as she thought of something. "Forget about her daughter for now, when the time comes I will tell you how to use her to your advantage, for now just focus on getting that ring." Katherine had a plan in mind.

" What is it mum, tell me, I want to know." Sophia urged but Katherine didn't say it.

" Just do what I said for now, after entering into the Brighton family, make sure to win Reagan's heart and don't let him have any doubt about you if not he might investigate you, tomorrow, go back to Country X and find a way to get that ring from Stella, don't waste time." Katherine said as she stood up from the bed.

" Ok mum, I will go to Country X tomorrow." Sophia replied.
