Chapter 17: Helping Sister Cold

(Two days later)

Y/N's P.O.V

I'm now at home with Marky and my mum.

I've just gotten back from the work and mum was watching Marky for me.

Y/N: So, how was he while I was gone?

Lauren: Absolutely lovely. He's alot like you were as a baby, so it makes it easy for me.

Y/N: Well, he is my son.

Lauren: That he is.

I take Marky over to his crib and lay him down in it.

Lauren: So, what's going on with you and Natasha?

I sigh.

Y/N: Really, mum?

Lauren: I'm just curious. You two seem to be getting close.

Y/N: It's not like that, mum. We're just good friends.

Lauren: Well, my woman intuition tells me that she wants to be more than that.

Y/N: You think so?

Lauren: I do.

Just then I get a call from Natasha.

Y/N: Speak of the devil. It's her now.

I answer the phone.

Y/N: Hey, Nat. What's up?

Natasha: Y/N, you need to get here now. We've got a problem.

Y/N: What is it?

Natasha: It's Lisa Snart, she's here. Harry brought her here.

Y/N: Shit. Why?

Natasha: She needs Spider-Man's help. Captain Cold's been kidnapped.

Y/N: Okay, I'm on my way.

I hang up.

(Twenty minutes later)

I'm now in my suit at the Spider Cave with Harry and Natasha.

Lisa Snart is also here.

Like Harry said she believes her brother has been taken.

Y/N: Alright, so you really want us to just believe that Captain Cold was kidnapped?

Lisa: I saw it happen. Last night Lenny, me and Mick were knocking over the cashier's cage at NYC Racetrack.

Sam: Does it physically pain your family not to rob people?

Lisa: I never finished the job. After Mick torched through the side entrance, I looked back for Lenny and saw him getting thrown into the back of a van.

Y/N: Why didn't you and Mick follow?

Lisa: I would have. Someone hit me from behind and knocked me out. When I came to, Lenny was gone and Mick had already made off with the cash.

Sam: How do we know this isn't some kind of a trap?

Lisa: If he wanted Spider-Man dead, he'd be dead by now.

Y/N: Okay, but why should I help him?

Lisa: Because you owe him one for keeping your identity a secret.

I sigh.

Sam: I do not like her.

Harry: Yeah, but she makes a point.
