Mark is your soulmate's initials.
Once you're close to your soulmate, you'll feel the mark burn.
The only way to accept your soulmate is to place a kiss on the mark
But if you want to reject your soulmate just ignore the burning feeling for a month
Also, Star has a scar on her right eye as you can see in the picture and she's blind in that eye
