I don't like you

10 minutes when the celebration started, Unique arrived with his Mother. Of course, her Mother looks stunning as usual. She's aging like a fine wine.

I tried to get her attention by looking at her trying to drive her attention to me but she didn't. Then, I saw Unique by her side trying to find me. Naghahanap ang kaniyang mata at tumigil sa akin.

Nakahinga siya ng maluwang ng makita niya ako. He smiled a bit when he saw me.

"Ganda mo." He mouthed. My lips parted and suddenly my cheek heated because of that. Nag-iwas ako ng tingin.

Not minding the other people. Pinanood ko lang siya na maupo. But then, again the MC said something again so our attention got to him.

"Let's welcome our birthday celebrant: Angel Salvador." Tumayo kami at pinalakpakan ito habang siya ay naglalakad galing sa entrance.

"Ganda..." narinig kong sabi ni Keycy.

"I know right." Sagot ko naman sakaniya. Ngumisi sa akin si Keycy at tumingin na sa harapan.

Tumingin na rin ako roon. Sobrang ganda niya lalo na sa gown na suot niya. Para siyang model na naglalakad sa gitna at kami lang ang nakaupong nanonood sakaniya.

The celebration started. And I was amused when I saw Unique and Patrick danced with Angel's 20th rose then after that is Tita Kim's speech.

"Happy birthday to my beautiful daughter, Angel." Ngumiti siya at tumingin sa anak habang hawak-hawak ang mic.

It was emotional, yet good to hear.

"I never had imagine you to grow this matured and beautiful lady, dati pangarap ko na sana maging bata nalang kayo habang buhay dahil sa takot ko na... iwan niyo na ako pagtanda niyo ni Kuya Jacinto." Tumawa pa siya.

It was so heart touching.

"Pero as I watched you grew with your brother was the best thing I had witnessed this passed years." She licked her lower lip, nakita kong nakangiti lang si Angel at tumatango sa Nanay. "Ok lang pala na hayaan ko kayo, because I brought you into this world because I want you two lived the best life you two deserved."

Hindiniya mapigilang maging emosyonal.

"Oo masakit dahil patanda na kayo ng patanda, at unti-unti nagkakaroon na kayo ng sarili niyong buhay. But that way, I knew I raised you two well to go this far of your life. Your friends, your cousins, and all the people here surrounding us here is already making me so much proud of you." Her eyes is only at Angel.

And it is the best thing I had experienced.

"People know Angel as 'mapagbigay' na kaibigan, some people took advantage of it lalo na mabait din siya at mapagpatawad." Tumingin siya sa amin na nagkwe'kwento. "Akala ko hindi siya magkakaroon ng matinong kaibigan noon dahil doon. But she proved me wrong," her eyes is searching.

Then, she stop her eyes on me. Sa aming dalawa ni Keycy.

"Meron siyang kaibigan ngayon dalawa at soon to be boyfriend?" Nang-aasar na dagdag niya. Nanlaki ang dalawang sabi ko at napatingin kay Angel.

Gulat din siya. Pero hindi ito makasalita.

"But it's ok, I just hope the best to all of you. Lalo na sa dalawang anak ko siyempre." Humarap siyang muli kay Angel. "Happy birthday again, Angel. I love you so much."

Then his Father. Ngayon ko lang siya nakita. I guess he's busy? Kahit no'ng birthday ni Tita ay hindi ko siya nakita.

"Happy birthday, My princess. I know I am always here to..  be with you, your brother, and Mother. But I hope for the best of you, really, I want you to dream bigger, and I promised to give you everything even if it's the world, princess." Ngumuso ako sa speech niya.
