Wanda drove through the city with Elizabeth on the back of her bike. She gets a call from Pietro. Stopping the bike as to not awaken Elizabeth, speaking in a hushed tone.

Wanda: What?

Pietro: So how was the date? Is our guy alright.

Wanda: Well, that guy is doing fine. I'm with his sister right now, so what is it?

Pietro: Just got a call from you know who. I could only stall her for so long. But we gotta get a move on with things. You gonna get him now, or you wanna explain how you've been smooching him day in and day out.

Wanda wants to argue, but then she feels Elizabeth hug onto her waist tighter. Lightly mumbling in her sleep. Wanda suddenly gets an idea.

Wanda: Fine. I'll be on my way. I got what we've been lookin for.

Ending the call before speeding off once again, this time in a different direction.

Meanwhile, with you, you were swinging through the city. You never really happened upon anything. Thinking to yourself that it would probably be best if you just went to sleep for the night. But as you swing you here some people down below.

"Yo, is that Spider-Man? Love his new suit."

"I love the coat, he looks so cool."

You soaked in the compliments as you felt free, sailing through the air with your webs. You felt so light, so happy so free.

"Dude needed an upgrade, especially with him getting his ass kicked all the time."

You stop swinging as you stick to one of the buildings after hearing that.

"Has he ever really beat a bad guy on his own?"

"Yeah, he seems like a fraud to me. The other spider is way cooler."

"Yeah, without her, he couldn't even handle a single bad guy on his own."

"But still, he does his part."

"Yeah, the part of the sidekick. I wonder if he even cares. Weighing her down like that."

Your ears perk as you bring your hand over your chest. Then, bring them to your ears to drown out what you were hearing. Their words echoed and made your jest feel weighted. Thay word stuck out to you, a fraud.

Y/N: AM I really that much of a fucking fraud?

You here the fixed emotions speak of you as you just climb all the way to the top of the building. Trying to find a quiet place, swinging off to somewhere higher.

"He didn't even beat that goblin chick. People said he barely made it out of there."

You went higher into the sky, retrying to find a building tall enough in New York.

"He mostly can only handle small time bad guys. JJJ may be wrong about him being a menace. He doesn't seem all that threatening, even if he looks freaky."

You swang higher and higher. Clinging to the very top of the Empire state.

The mask dissolves, allowing the wind to blow through your hair. You clench your fist after hearing the constant rejection.

Y/N: Why do I even try?

You feel a tendril emerge from the collar of your suit, lightly caressing your face.

???: Because you're Spider-Man.

You feel the voice in your head, but you thought it was just a random thought you heard. But no, you could feel this voice. It didn't feel like the others.
