Chapter 40: With Great Power, Comes Great Responsibility

  Carnage followed Gwen all the way to the church. He lands at the outside of the cathedral.

  He looks around, sniffing the blood in the air.

Carnage: This place.

Ghost: It's where we first.

  Looking up, it sees Gwen on the top of the cathedral.

Ghost: Let him go.

  Carnage only laughs. You had very little control in the matter. But the symbiote while under Sintster's influence.

Carnage: No. He is mine.

  Gwen leaps down webbing onto your shoulder and kicks you across the face. She was pisses off, and for good reason.

  You both stand off as you rush at her, but you are slammed to the ground, black tendrils keeping you pinned as Gwen rushes over, smashing your fave into the ground.

  Standing up, carnage tries to get your sister off of your back as you feel her turning your head and slamming you down to the ground.

  You push Elizabeth off and give chase to her. She rushes up the cathedral as you follow her into one of the towers, slashing at her heels as she worms her way through.

  Gwen followed and entered the tower as she landed on the bell. She waited until Venom got through first, but the moment she saw a hint of red, she punched the bell, making it ring as you cried out in pain. The symbiote cried out in pain as you writhed on the floor.

  Carnage screamed as it's form destabilized. But Ghost never let up. She continued ringing the bell as you tried to get the suit off, as it fought back to cling to you.

Ghost: 'This isn't good, the suits fighting for its life to stay on.'

  It seemed this was gonna take longer than she thought. The suit tried to crawl out of the tower but was blasted back by red energy.

  Wanda was assisting in keeping the beast inside. As Ava crawls in the tower, trying her best to claw at the suit to get it off you.

White Tiger: Come on (Y/N)! You're really gonna let some suit tell you what to do?

Carnage: HE IS MINE!!!

White Tiger: Come on! You don't need that damn thing ruining your life! Help me help you and take it off, or you'll hurt more people!

  Carnage falls back as the suit is pulled back to reveal your chest as you try to pull off the face. This symbiote really wanted you, as a tendril wrapped Gwen, pinning her to the wall off of the bell.

  With that being done, it grabs White Tiger as it holds her by the neck.

  Wanda sees the situation and takes aim with one eye closed to aim at the bell perfectly.

Wanda: I hope this hits.

   She blasts the bell to make it ring again.

  Carnage falls over as he releases Gwen and Ava. The two rush at you as Wanda shoots the bell.

  The noise was loud enough as you felt Carnage nearly slipping off. So close that it allowed a glimpse of hope.

  That was all you needed was a glimpse.

  You force control over your own body, ripping away at the suit as it comes undone. You rip it from your face with all the strength you had left.

  The suit is ripped from your flesh as you tear the fire out of you. Sinister's voice echoed in your mind, but you ignored it. Not wanting to fall into Carnage, but wanting to go out being you, if you had to at all.
