THEY WERE USHERED INTO A UNMARKED POLICE CAR- "Well, this is posh." Rose commented as she slid into the back seat next to her sister. "If I knew it was going to be like this, being arrested, I would have done it years ago."

"We're not being arrested." The Doctor corrected her, stationary on Lily's other side. "We're being escorted."

Lily furrowed her brows. "Where to?"

"Where'd you think?" he grinned and let out a hearty laugh. "Downing Street."

Rose's jaw dropped. "You're kidding?"

"10 Downing Street?" Lily had to make sure.

"That's the one!" He smiled.

"Oh my god!" Rose started squealing in delight- swatting at Lily's shoulder. "We're going to 10 Downing Street!

"I heard." Lily giggled and looked at the Doctor when Rose ceased hitting her, holding onto her upper arm instead. "How come?"

"Remember that over the years I've visited this planet a lot of times, and I've been, er, noticed."

"And now they need you?" Rose said.

"Like it said on the news. They're gathering experts in alien knowledge. And who's the biggest expert of the lot?"

"Patrick Moore?" Lily smirked.

He gave her an offended look while the car pulled up to a building. "Apart from him."

After getting out where the Doctor waved at various photographers and reporters, the trio was escorted inside 10 Downing Street- maneuvering through crowds of various officials and police officers. Lily and Rose kept their arms linked together as they walked, side by side. They were brought into a room with wooden walls and filled with a copious amount of very official-looking, well-dressed individuals.

Rose squeezed Lily's and the elder sister was amused as the blonde was nearly bouncing on the heels of her feet. "Ladies and gentlemen, can we convene?" A man appeared before them, speaking to those in the room. "Quick as we can, please. It's this way on the right-" He started guiding the herd through the open doorway- the trio followed slowly behind. "And can I remind you ID cards," He held up one. "Are to be worn at all times." He had stopped in front of the trio and handed the ID card to the Doctor, which he took. "Here's your ID card. I'm sorry, your companions don't have clearance."

The Doctor put the lanyard around his neck. "I don't go anywhere without them."

"You're the code nine, not them." He insisted. "I'm sorry, Doctor. It is the Doctor, isn't it?" When the Doctor nodded the man smiled like he was meeting a famous person and Lily guessed, to these people, he kinda was. "They both have to stay outside."

The Doctor was stubborn as all get out and Lily knew that even before he opened his mouth. "They are staying with me."

He tried to reason with him in a low tone- they were now the only ones in the room besides a woman who lingered near the doorway. "Look, even I don't have clearance to go in there. I can't let them in and that's a fact."

Lily let go of Rose and stopped up behind the Doctor, placing a hand on his back to get his attention. "It's alright. We'll be fine." She nodded out the doorway. "Go on."

"Excuse me," The unknown woman walked up closer to them with a smile. "Are you the Doctor?"

"Sure." He shrugged and looked back at Lily. The woman and ID man were speaking to each other when the Doctor directed at Lily. "Don't get into too much trouble, Red."
