Continuing from 'World War Three - Part II'

IT WAS AS QUICK AS A LIGHT BULB FLICKERING ON- the Doctor straightened up, set down his glass, and looked away from Lily, brightening up. "Now then, on the left at the top, there's a tab, an icon." He leaned closer to the phone so Mickey could hear him clearly. "Little concentric circles. Click on that."

They knew Mickey did as he was told since a clicking sound came through the other end. "What is it?" A weird whirring sound started.

"The Slitheen have got a spaceship in the North Sea and it's transmitting that signal. Now hush, let me work out what it's saying."

"Since Lily is so smitten with him he'll have to answer me one day," Jackie murmured.

"Hush!" Mickey told her- Lily was thankful she didn't have to.

The Doctor trudged on. "It's some sort of message." He said as he listened intently to the sound.

"What is it?" Rose asked- her and Lily on one side of the table and the Doctor and Harriet on the other.

"Don't know." The Doctor's face twisted. "It's on a loop, keeps repeating." A ringing sound interrupted them from Mickey's end. "Hush!"

"That's not me. Go and see who that is." Mickey said to Jackie, Lily guessed.

The Doctor furrowed his eyebrows. "It's beaming out into space, who's it for?"

Mickey said the last thing the sisters wanted to hear. "They found us!"

But the Doctor stayed adamant. "Mickey, I need that signal!"

Lily swatted a hand towards the Doctor. "Never mind the signal." She yelled to her phone- thumping a hand on the table. "Get out of there! Mum and Mickey- get out of there! Now!"

"We can't! It's by the front door. Oh, my god, it's unmasking." Mickey cried. "It's going to kill us!"

"There's got to be some way of stopping them!" Harriet demanded. "You're supposed to be the expert, think of something!"

"I'm trying!" The Doctor matched her loud tone- both Lily and Rose were nearly in tears.

"I'll take it on, Jackie. You just run- don't look back. Just run!" They heard Mickey yell out over the sound of a door breaking.

"Doctor," Lily called over the table and the Doctor raised his head- eyes locked on hers. "That's our mum, please."

It took the Doctor all of two seconds to look away from Lily and nod down at the phone. "Right, If we're going to find their weakness, we need to find out where they're from. Which planet" He informed the three women. "So, judging by their basic shape, that narrows it down to five thousand planets within traveling distance. What else do we know about them?" He gestured to them to start spitting out ideas, leaning forward with his hands on the table in concentration. "Information!"

Lily started them off. "They're green!"

"Yep, narrows it down."

"Good sense of smell?" Rose joined in.

"Narrows it down."

"They can smell adrenalin," Lily added.

"Narrows it down."

"The pig technology." Harriet brought up.

"Narrows it down."

"The spaceship in the Thames, you said slipstream engine!" Lily said.
