A FEW DAYS HAD PASSED TRAVELING IN THE TARDIS WITH JACK HARKNESS and they have all only gotten closer with every trip. Lily didn't think she'd ever see the day the Doctor and Jack willingly shared a place such as the TARDIS, or even allowed him to touch anything inside. Now, they were joking like old pals while the Doctor mending the TARDIS on top of a ladder.
It was only interrupted by a knock on the door from the person they were expecting. Before Lily could walk up to answer it, Jack opened the door. "Who the hell are you?" She heard Jack ask.
"What do you mean, who the hell am I?" Mickey retorted. "Who the hell are you?"
"Captain Jack Harkness. Whatever you're selling, we're not buying." Lily stifled back a giggle upon hearing that.
"Get out of my way!" When she saw Mickey pushed past him inside Lily gave him a kind smile in greeting.
"Don't tell me," Jack called over his shoulder as he shut the doors. "This must be Mickey."
"Ah, here comes trouble!" The Doctor greeted him from the top of his ladder, sonic screwdriver in hand, and switched on the headlamp wrapped around his head. "How're you doing, Ricky boy?"
Mickey shouted up to him with a glare. "It's Mickey!"
Rose stepped up to Mickey, waving a hand towards the Doctor. "Don't listen to him, he's winding you up."
Mickey did as Rose said and smiled at her, giving her a once-over. "You look fantastic."
Lily watched on the side as they hugged and, even though Rose was giving him a matching grin, she could see how tensed up she got. She was shocked Mickey didn't seem to notice what she did and pulled away, still smiling.
