Might Mate (Alex's POV)

Alex’s POV

  While we’re having our tour around the whole school, I feel like I’m already gonna die of dehydration. Feeling like my body is having a total shock right now. I didn’t expect that the weather here is this hot and I feel like I’m literally in hell.

I’m totally out of breath and I don’t think I can last any longer, so I quietly and secretly left the crowd to sit a while and take a rest because if not, I might pass out already in front of them and I totally don’t want that to happen.

I also didn’t get to sleep last night, literally wide awake the whole night and maybe that’s one of the reasons why I feel very exhausted right now.

  “Hey, mate!” I suddenly heard Henry’s voice, then I saw him walking towards me. “Are you okay?” He asked me, then offered me the bottle of water that he’s holding.

  I took the water from him. “Might?” Then I asked back while frowning a bit.

  He was like lost for a second, then, “Uh.. no, not might.” He said while shaking his head. “It’s mate. Something like.. how we call a.. friend in our country. Something like that.”

  “Uh, okay.” While nodding my head. “But you can just call me Alex.” Then I told him.

  “Okay.” Then he smiles. “Someone told me that you’re not feeling well. Do you want me to accompany you to the clinic?” He kindly offered me.

  But I shook my head. “I’m fine. Maybe.. I just need to get some sleep.” I took a deep breath then stood up. “I’ll go back to the dorm to rest. Thanks for the water, by the way.”

  Henry nodded. “Can you manage to go back to the dorm alone?” He asked.

  “Yeah, of course.” I quickly said.

  “Alright. I’m just going to tell them that you’re taking a rest if they look for you.” Henry said, he smiles again, then he turned already to leave.

I was already taking a step too to go back to the dorm, but I stopped shortly and called Henry before he could totally go far and be out of my sight.

  Henry immediately looked at me. “Yes? What is it?” Then he asked me.

  “Who told you that I’m not feeling well?” I just thought to ask.

  “Our very much concerned neighbors.” Henry’s answer with a laugh.

  Oh.. those guys.

I don’t exactly know why, but.. there’s something in them that I don’t like.

  “Anything else?” Henry asked me again.

I just shook my head.

  “Okay. Bye.” Henry said then he turned again and left completely.

Henry then went back to those guys he’s been with since this morning. He seems very close to them already. I even saw one of those guys all over him almost all the time.

I really can’t help but to envy Henry, on how fast he adjusted here and how fast he was able to have a group of friends.
