ASSURANCE (Henry's POV)

Henry’s POV

  While I was waiting for Alex earlier, I was surprised and didn’t expect Nicole to suddenly appear from out of nowhere and she was like a wild animal that’s ready and had been waiting for the opportunity to rip me in pieces.

  “Wow! Here’s the ambitious man.” She said to me mockingly.

  My brows automatically furrowed at the word she used. “Ambitious?” I repeated.

  “Oh, yeah!” She grinned. “You are so ambitious to think that Alex is really in love with you. Like.. what? Seriously?” Then she laughed insultingly.

  I sighed. “You know what.. I perfectly know why you’re acting like that.” I stared deeply at her. “You’re jealous and I understand that.”

  Her face suddenly turned red. “— What?” She’s pissed, it’s so obvious.

  “But let me tell you this,” I was still staring straight into her to make her know that I am not intimidated by her. “I didn’t tell Alex how or what he must feel. I never tried to dictate or force him to feel whatever that feeling he feels for me.”

  She scoffed. “So.. are you trying to tell me that he’s really madly in love with you?” She said that with disgust look on her face. “Do you really expect me to believe that?”

  I shook my head. “No, I don’t. You are free to believe what you want to believe if that’s what makes you happy.” I told her mockingly.

  She became even more angry, it’s so obvious on her face. “But let me also tell you this, whoever you are, I’m not afraid of you —”

  “— Well, I’m not doing anything to scare you.”

  “You’re so full of yourself and that’s making me really wanna throw up.” She added. “You’re acting like as if you’re so special. Well, please keep this in mind, I can also do whatever you can do and maybe.. I can even do better than you. Alex will going to realise —”

I was interrupted when I suddenly heard the door of my room opened then closed immediately and soon,

  “How are you feeling?” Alex asked me.

  I turned to look at him. “I’m fine.” I lied.

  He sat on the edge of my bed, he put his hand on my cheek. “You look.. not.” He said, he sound worried.

  I sighed. “I was just thinking..” I paused and think first whether I’ll tell him what I really was thinking or not.
