Accidental Roommates (Inspired by Red, White & Royal Blue)

TAKEN (Henry's POV)

Henry’s POV

  We decided to join everyone at lunch first before Alex and I continued with our plans for the rest of the day, up until the whole night.

Jared, one of our neighbours, is on a call with his twin sister while we’re all having lunch.

He’s bragging about how nice the place where we were currently staying and also how all of the food that we were eating tastes so good.

He’s showing off to his sister the food on the table until..

  “Wait, bro.” We all heard Jared’s twin sister suddenly said. “Who’s that guy wearing a white linen shirt and with curly hair? Can you introduce me to him?”

  Jared’s face suddenly became pale and he also suddenly looked so afraid, he paid me a quick glance and then, “H-he’s.. already taken.” He then said to his sister.

  “So what? I just want to know his name and hopefully to make friends with him.” His sister said while laughing. “What’s wrong with that?”

  Jared, once again, looked at our direction shortly and then, “If you really love your life, you won’t even dare do it.” He said again to his sister and it’s sound more of, like, a threat. “You’ll get yourself into big trouble, so listen to me when I say.. don’t.”

  “Jared, what the —”

  Jared didn’t bother to finish what his sister was about to say, he abruptly end the call and put his phone in his pocket. “I-I’m really sorry about that. She just.. didn’t know what she’s saying.” Then he said to us, he really looked so sorry.

But we all just laughed at him.

And then we decided to just change the topic and went on talking about how fun was my birthday party last night.

I also grabbed that opportunity to thank all of them for helping Alex to prepare that surprise for me.

I couldn’t be more grateful to have a neighbours like them.

Yes, they can really be so annoying. Most especially Zach. But he already apologised to me and to Alex and he also explained to us that it’s just his way of showing that he’s rooting for us, so we accepted his sorry immediately.

  “Why do you have to be so attractive?” I seriously asked Alex while we were walking next to each other on the beach.

He abruptly turned to me, he looked pretty surprised at my question.

And because of his reaction, I wasn’t able to stop myself from laughing at him.

  He laughed, too. “You probably won’t fall for me if I’m not, would you?” He then said.

  “You’re not so sure of that.” I told him while still laughing. “There must be some other reason for me to fall for you.”

  “Like?” He asked with a laugh. “Anything else in mind?”

  “Your..” I didn’t finish saying it, I just smiled meaningfully at him.

  He seemed quickly got what I meant, it’s pretty obvious when he suddenly burst into laughter. “I don’t think you’ll be interested in my..” He abruptly stopped and looked around first, worried that someone might hear him saying the word. “As I was saying.. you might not be interested in it if you’re not attracted to me, would you?” He added, emphasizing the in it.

  I nodded my head. “You have a point, darling.” I smiled then I grabbed his hand.

Then Alex quickly intertwined his fingers with mine and that made me smile even more.

One has already checked off from our bucket list and that is.. to walk on the beach while holding each other’s hands.

And we’re off accomplishing the next one as Alex already dragged me to go for a swim with him.

While in the water, we did nothing but laughing and playing around with each other.

I’m aware that we were catching attention from the people around us, but we just don’t care.

And I’m also very aware that some ladies are staring at Alex and they’re, like, totally stripping Alex’s off by the way they stare at him and I absolutely don’t like that, so..

I put my arms around Alex, around my boyfriend, and I kissed him on the lips.

I will never let another Nicole to come between us. I won’t give them a chance. They all should be aware that Alex is already taken and that he’s mine, all mine, only mine.

And I felt, without second thought, Alex immediately kissed me back and that made me really proud and happy.
