Accidental Roommates (Inspired by Red, White & Royal Blue)

A Happy Day (?)

Henry’s POV

   It’s a break! We have no classes for a week.

And since we have no classes, the school arranged a trip for us to give us a chance to unwind a bit even for a few days.

They even let the students to decide if what or where they want to go and most of the students voted and chose to go to the beach.

And that includes.. Alex.

If I were to ask, I would choose to just stay at the dorm and rest, but I saw how excited Alex is about going to the beach and he want me to come with him, so I also decided to join the trip.

  “I guess.. we’re gonna be.. room.. mates?” Zach hesitantly said to me.

  I nodded. “I guess so, too.” Then I sigh.

  “You look like.. not happy.. about it?” He said then he laughed awkwardly.

  “Not that I’m —”

  “It’s alright.” Zach cuts me off. “I and everybody perfectly.. knows.” Then he smiled.

I didn’t say anything more, I just chuckled quietly.

  “Alex!” Zach called Alex right after he saw him coming. “Who will be your roommate?” Then he asked Alex.

  “Oh!” Alex immediately checked the hotel room number given to him. “Troy?” And in an instant, he became sad then he stared at me.

  While Zach, “Oh, great!” He seems very happy.

  Alex walked closer to me. “Baby..” He looked kinda upset.

  I sighed again. “I’m also sad.” I said to him. “But we can’t do anything about it.” I added while shaking my head.

  “I won’t be able to sleep next to you for two nights?” He said then he sighed violently. “That’s too much for me to bear.”

  I laughed at him. “I feel the same, but you’re..” I paused for a second. “A bit exaggerated.”

He frowned.

He was as if about to say something more, but he stopped when..

  “Troy, we’re roommates.” We suddenly heard Zach said loudly.
