┊trigger warning: mention of blood┊
The stress of moving had taken a huge toll on Taylor, well not just moving itself but everything that had been happening around it. Colette was finding it really hard to settle at home after what had happened and no one can blame her for that because although it might have just been Joe who took her, she was still traumatised by the fact someone had pulled her out of bed and away from her mother for a week. She feared it happening again and Taylor could only hope a new house would be a great fresh start for her. Taylor was also 18 weeks pregnant with twins, and so not the easiest when up and moving all of your stuff from a different state and having it all organised. On top of that, the Super Bowl was in only a few short days, and as much as Travis didn't want to be preoccupied with that he unfortunately had to be. And the cherry on top being that a mere few days ago Taylor had gotten a phone call from her lawyer, who had broken the news that they had a set court date for March 9th, so under a month away. Taylor was honestly shocked that all this stress hasn't caused anything to go wrong with her pregnancy, she knew this sort of stress wasn't healthy for herself or the babies but she had no choice but to face it right now.
Currently, the family had just moved officially into their home last night, they'd been going back and forth with stuff with the help of friends and family but they had their first night sleep last night. They no longer had the keys to Travis's old house which meant that there was no turning back now. With much convincing from Taylor, Colette had managed to sleep alone for the first time in a while now that she had a new bedroom exactly like she had asked for, blush pink walls and Taylor had tried her best to get it to be done exactly like Colette imagined which it very much was. Travis was at training this morning, leaving Taylor alone with Colette. Thankfully, as they'd been moving throughout the week, a lot of the house was set up and ready to go. It was just the little details now really that Taylor wanted to add herself. On an evening, if Travis was training late, she'd been making a Pinterest board of how she wanted the twins nursery to look. Although they had enough rooms in this house for them to have one each, they decided that when they are so young, it wasn't necessary and they'd be sleeping in Taylor and Travis's room for the first 6 months anyway. Taylor wasn't really into the whole beige vibe if she was honest, she knew that babies needed colour for stimulation and so the stuff she had pinned currently was almost safari animal themed but since they didn't know the gender for another two weeks, she hadn't put any thought on what colours she would use. Not that colours really mattered against gender, but she wouldn't make it as masculine if she was having girls and vice versa. If they grew up one day and decided that perhaps their favourite colour was green and not the colour Taylor had picked out, then so be it, they'd probably have new rooms of their own by that point anyway. I think Taylor was really basing it off the fact that she had a little girl already, who was extremely girly and liked all of the societal stereotypes for girls such as she was crazy for the colour pink and she loved princesses or bunny rabbits. This also made Taylor find it hard to picture herself having boys, after having a girl, of course, she was happy with whatever but boys can be so different to girls as they grow up, or so she heard anyway.
In 2 days it was the Super Bowl, so as expected Travis was barely home for this period of time, which was terrible with the timing of the move but he can't help his job and Taylor completely understood what this meant for him. Taylor really needed to crack on with some of her own work today though, and so whilst Colette was preoccupied she headed upstairs to her new music room and started just writing and testing a few things that her and Jack had discussed. A few weeks ago, she had attended the Grammy's, a bit before everything went down, and had announced that she would be putting a new album out called the tortured poets department. Although, most of the actual recordings were done, she still had a lot of admin to manage with it, such as merch drops, cds and everything in between. Thankfully she'd filmed a music video already before she got too pregnant and that would be the only one for this album.
