" ah yes, Miss Swift, take a seat, I would like to discuss some things with you "

" was Colette okay today? " Taylor asked, slightly stuttered on words as she took a seat in front of the teacher

" Colette is an impeccably well behaved girl, aside from the small wobble with nerves this morning she has been a delight to teach, no worries whatsoever with her, you really have raised a wonderful little girl " Miss Kady spoke, as Taylor smiled, it was nice to hear she was doing well as a parent, despite sometimes feeling like she wasn't

" thank you for saying that. What is the issue then? " Taylor sighed, if it wasn't Colette, then what an earth needed discussing on the first day

" I'm sorry, it appears I've had a few complaints from some of the parents today "

" complaints? what sort of complaints? "

" well, a few parents are worried about, you know, someone with your status, bringing and collecting your child from school, they are worried it might bring some unnecessary press and drama to the door and they are very within their rights not to want that for their children unfortunately " miss Kady explained, a sorrow look across her face as if she had sympathy for Taylor, but at the same time, she had to respect every parents wishes

" oh...but I just want to give Colette the most realistic and normal life here as possible, taking and collecting her from school is what every parent should do if they can, I'm not causing any harm. They're allowed to do it so why can't I? " Taylor was a little bit confused, it was the first day and Taylor had taken every precaution to protect not only her daughter, but also the privacy of her peers

" yes, I completely understand that Miss Swift, you're right, there shouldn't be an issue but unfortunately, some parents are quite triggered by it, is there any other possible arrangements we could make, so maybe it's not you or your partner picking up Colette? " Taylor was shocked. She was getting slightly infuriated actually. Why were other parents triggered by the way she was protecting her child? She had been very clear that for the safety of Colette, no one other than her or Travis were to collect her, and it also provided Colette with the sense of normalcy seeing all her friends getting picked up by their parents also, so she didn't feel like an outsider

" I'm sorry, I don't want to come across rude at all, but I made it very clear when I enrolled Colette here that for the sake of her, only me or my partner are to pick her up, I don't see what issue that causes for other parents. Are you able to tell me their names? So I could perhaps message them or something so I can get a rough idea on how I can subside their worries. I don't want to put a holt in peoples lives here, not at all, but I also want what's best for Colette, and it's these little things that make her life that little bit more normal, I don't want her feeling like an outsider " Taylor voiced, wanting to be heard.

" unfortunately, I'm unable to tell you who said it, and I completely understand your side, I really do. I think for now, the best call is to see how it goes, if more worries are raised we can perhaps discuss further, I just wanted to make you aware of it, and see if you had any solutions right now " miss Kady shot Taylor a half smile, genuinely empathetic for the situation

" no, I appreciate you told me, thank you! and I'll try my best to avoid any more worries from occurring " Taylor smiled back, as the teacher bid them goodbye, telling Colette she'd see her tomorrow
