─────── ☼ ───────Today was the AMAs and Taylor had been invited for the tortured poets department that had been released back in April as well as Artist of the year. Taylor hadn't been to an event like this since she was 4 months pregnant with the twins at the Grammys, so she was a little apprehensive which was to be expected.
They had actually celebrated travis' birthday yesterday, he started off at football practice to get some training done early morning for their chiefs vs saints game tomorrow, before coming home and enjoying Taylor's homemade French toast for breakfast with her and Colette, a nice family trip to the zoo with his whole family, before all coming home and having a big meal cooked by Taylor with the help of his mom and Kylie. He had deemed it the most perfect way and to spend his birthday. Taylor got him a chain necklace like thing, engraved was T,T,C,N,K, obviously standing for Travis, Taylor, Colette, Noah and Knox, all arranged to make a little symbol. He almost cried when he opened it, it was the best thing he'd ever received especially because it was so personal and he swore to wear it and never take it off. Taylor also brought him a few other small things which he was equally grateful for. From Colette and the boys, he received some socks, picked out by Colette so he had no choice but to love them, and a few pieces of clothing that Taylor had obviously picked but signed them from the kids. Ultimately, it was a really lovely family day and his family were still in town as they all had plans to tag along to the game tomorrow.
Tonight though, Taylor was riding solo to the AMAs, she'd obviously meet up with a few of her friends whilst she was there, but she wasn't bringing Travis or anything. Her hair stylist and make up artist had just finished up; it hadn't been the easiest of tasks between 5 month old babies wanting their mom and a 5 year old who wanted her own styling, but they'd managed it eventually and Taylor looked perfect. Her hair was in a half up, half down style, softly curled as it fanned out down her back, she had a mostly heavy black smokey eye and surprisingly a nude lip. She was wearing a navy blue almost black dress with a small trail and if you looked closely enough, the inside lining of the trail had a snake-skin like pattern, but really only noticeable to the eye if you knew it was there.
" you look amazing baby " Travis awed, entering the room as he caught a first glimpse of Taylor after having to try and occupy the kids for the afternoon so she could get ready in some sort of peace and relaxation
" do you think people can still see the baby weight? " Taylor asked, concerned. Although arguably she didn't gain loads of weight when she was pregnant, her bump was mostly just the babies but she was still conscious about it.
" baby, are you kidding me? you look perfect, no one could've guessed that you gave birth 5 months ago " Travis assured her, placing a kiss on her head, weary of her freshly done make up
Taylor made her way downstairs, awaiting her driver and security who were on their way with Tree who would obviously be accompanying her to the award show.
" mommy you look like a princess " Colette gleamed, admiring Taylor
" thank you so much baby girl, be good for daddy tonight okay? " she smiled, Colette obediently nodding like the obsequious child she was " and you my boys, don't cause daddy too much trouble either, I'll be back later I promise " Taylor cooed at the twins, who were currently lying on a play mat in the living room, reaching and grabbing for toys in front of them. Recently, they have found their vocal chords and are definitely not afraid to use them, yelling out whenever they wanted, almost as though they had a sort of attitude and Taylor prayed to her lucky stars that they lost it before terrible twos otherwise her and Travis would have their work cut out if they were anything like him as a toddler.
