Nausea? Again? At 4am? Taylor tossed in her sleep, a wave of sickness washing over her. It had been a week since the court case, and she'd woken up every morning with a sense of nausea. She inevitably couldn't blame it on nerves anymore. It was becoming more and more apparent, especially now as the late spring sun was creeping up through the curtains but she tried to fight it off, moving to find a comfortable position in which her stomach wouldn't be churning.

" hm Tay, can you please stop moving, you're pulling the blankets off me " Travis groaned, half asleep still as Taylor could've sworn a second ago he was deep in snooze ville.

" sorry babe, just can't get comfy " Taylor muttered back, Travis dozing off as he rolled into the other side, clearly not in the best of moods.

Taylor sighed, pulling the cover back and slipping her slippers on, padding her way quietly into their en suite. She caught a glimpse of herself in the mirror, her stomach, seemed rather bloated, inflamed if you will, like she'd swallowed half a melon during the night. Surely that wasn't normal? Of course, her immediate thought was pregnancy. It was possible. Taking a test wouldn't harm anyone to be sure, right? But Taylor had never experienced a pregnancy where she'd gone from her normal size to almost double it, just over night, and that was a pretty prominent thing, considering she'd been pregnant with twins before.

She lacked the time to think further, before she was hunched over the toilet again, she'd barely been able to keep much food down, so now she was mainly just getting rid of bile and acids which were really burning her throat as they came up. Taylor breathed out as it was over, trying to recover and catch her breath slightly, rubbing her temple as she genuinely questioned why she felt so awful. She bit the bullet, heading to her bathroom cabinet and reaching for a pregnancy test. She just genuinely didn't feel pregnant and so she was brushing it off as a waste of time. But she needed answers.

Taking the test only took a minute, but for some reason, the anticipation whilst you wait for the answer felt like it took years. She was unsure on what she actually wanted the result to be? The twins weren't even a year old yet, her body had just recovered after having them. Yet, another baby kelce wasn't always a bad idea, and she wasn't opposed to extending their little family a bit more, even if this really was the last one. Abruptly, the time was over. Taylor took a deep breath, flipping the test over as the answer clear as day stared back at her. Negative.

" oh...oh " Taylor whispered, a small element of disappointment strung in her voice. Not entirely sure why, she knew she didn't have the pregnancy feeling.

Tossing it away, still without answers, she wondered if maybe, a doctors appointment might be best. If she wasn't pregnant, then the likelihood was that it was something she wouldn't figure out herself without medical intervention. But right now, she needed sleep.

Not even 6 hours later, that's where Taylor found herself, waiting in a room at her doctors office here in Kansas city. She was alone, demanding Travis that she was fine to go by herself and that he could stay with the kids. He wasn't happy with that arrangement but he quite frankly had no other choice.

" hi there Taylor, I'm Dr Smith, how are you feeling? " a lady introduced herself as she entered the room, chirpy and cheerful.
