" it's going to get complicated so please listen carefully and try not to panic until you know all the details. Upon testing, it's is clear Taylor suffered a subchorionic hemorrhage and although this sounds awful, it's really nothing too out of the ordinary. Commonly, they can go unnoticed but I believe Taylor's was emphasised by that fact she is carrying multiples not just one. This tends to never really affect the baby or in this case babies and the little boys seem to be doing perfectly fine as we monitor them " the nurse started, before Travis quickly interrupted her
" b-boys? Little boys? We're having 2 boys? " Travis asks, stunned at this information
" oh my good god. I am so so sorry. I had no idea, it just slipped past my tongue, most people find out early now so I just assumed and I shouldn't have, I owe you my biggest apologies! But yes, you and Taylor are expecting identical twin boys " the nurse frantically apologised, but Travis shook his head
" it's okay. Don't worry honestly, you didn't mean to and we weren't doing anything special to find out " he assured her, feeling bad that she felt so awful
" bless you are too kind. So as I explained, the actual prognosis of the issue isn't hugely worrying, but because you are having twins we would like to monitor Taylor for at least 24 hours if not longer to make sure their heart rates all keep up and that nothing else catastrophic happens before that. In worse case scenarios this can cause pre term labor and that is something we really need to avoid this early. I can take you guys to see Taylor now that she's awake and we've given her some pain medication until the pain slows down and we also noticed when she came in her blood pressure was rather high and she was slightly dehydrated for what we would've liked. So we've put her on an IV which is giving her some fluids to help build up some strength in her crucial organs. I have to ask though, is she under a great deal of stress at all, symptoms like this usually indicate such things and we want to do anything we can to help avoid that for when she returns home? " the nurse expressed her worries as Travis sighed
" sort of yes, we recently moved house and there's been some legal troubles she's had to deal with and in her position especially it's extremely hard because everything you experience gets published " Travis explained, he didn't want to assume that everyone he met knew who he or Taylor were, but he could see by the look on the nurse's face that she knew exactly what he was talking about
" I understand Mr Kelce, we've put Taylor in a private wing of the hospital, to respect any privacy, I'll take you to her now "
So Travis and Colette followed the nurse through the hospital corridors which only smelt clinical and clean, they reached Taylor's room over the other side of the hospital and Taylor shot a small smile when she saw them knowing how worried they would both be.
" Tay baby, how are you feeling? " Travis quickly asked, rushing over to her side
" I'm okay trav, just a little tired, the doctor explained it all to me and I'm just so glad they are okay " Taylor says, her voice rasp and slow
" m-mommy? " Colette lifts her head off of Travis's chest, looking at her mother.
" oh my darling, I'm okay now. Mommy is okay, she's so sorry you had to see that but you were such a brave girl and I'm so so proud of you " Taylor cooed to her daughter, who Travis had carefully placed next to her
