A little while after dropping Clarke off at her home and returning to her own condo, Lexa finds herself lying on her couch she shared with the blonde not even 24 hours ago. She absentmindedly scrolls through her phone and quickly skims her emails.

She's been purposefully ignoring Anya's unopened messages all day, but when another one comes in, she finally decides to open them and reply.

They end up making plans for 11 AM the next morning and although Lexa usually likes hanging out with her sister, she was dreading the interrogation that would undoubtedly be happening tomorrow. And for no good reason, because she had literally been hanging out with her personal assistant. Who may have kissed her, but that was besides the point and also none of Anya's business.

But here Lexa is, nursing a black coffee in her hands as she waits for her sister to join her so they can eat.

"Spill," Anya says as soon as she is within hearing distance from Lexa.

"Good morning, my dearest sister. How are you doing? How has your week been? It's so nice to see you," the brunette responds, sarcasm thick in her voice.

"Yeah, yeah, we will get to all that later. You ignored my messages for hours yesterday while hanging out with an unknown person, so I think I'd very much like to discuss that first," Anya responds, a mix of amusement and irritation visible in her features as she takes a seat across from Lexa.

Alexandria just picks up the menu, that she had already thoroughly studied before her sister got here, as she ignores the other woman.

"Lexa..." Anya says now, her voice sounding more threatening as she pulls the menu from Lexa's hands.

"Look Anya, I promise I'll consider telling you about it, but I am hungry, and the waiter has been lingering, ready to take our order, so can we do this first please?"

Anya studies Lexa, who refuses to meet her gaze, then she picks up the menu, scans it quickly, puts it back down and waves the waiter over.

Both women order and they talk about their respective businesses until the food gets served. Then, as soon as Lexa takes her first bite, Anya again asks, "So, who were you hanging out with all of yesterday?"

"You really are making this into a way bigger deal than it needs to be."

"Because you are being so secretive about it," Anya says exasperated, "and you don't hang out with anyone other than me... Or Costia..."

"You know Costia and I are done, so let it go, Anya."

"She did not treat you right and I couldn't talk badly about her when you two were still dating, so I have a lot of making up to do."

"Please stop," Lexa says, sadness settling deep inside of her bones, "You know very well how much she has done for me over the years."

"And I will forever be grateful to her for being there for you when I couldn't be, but that doesn't make the 180 she did when you started dating okay," Anya says seriously.
