When Clarke wakes up, it's dark in the room, the only dim light source coming from the TV screen that's in sleeping mode. She is also incredibly hot, and her legs are tangled in the blanket. Maybe she was getting a little too old to sleep on the couch with her head tilted backwards onto her favorite pillow as well, because as she carefully lifts her head, all her neck muscles protest and her spine pops.

But who could be mad about any of that when she was still laying comfortably in Alexandria Evergreen's arms?

She moves down slightly so she can rest her head on Lexa's chest more comfortably, planning to go back to sleep right there, but her small movement causes the brunette to stir.

Lexa squeezes Clarke closer to her, then mumbles, "What time's it?" in a sleepy, almost slurred voice.

"I don't know. Go back to sleep," Clarke whispers as she untangles the blanket from their legs.

"Hmmk five more minutes," the brunette slurs next before she nuzzles her face into Clarke's hair and sighs contently.

Unsure of whether Lexa has an automatic alarm set, Clarke pats the floor by the couch in search of her phone, sets her own alarm at an hour that would allow both of them plenty of time to get ready for their respective jobs, and then she closes her own eyes, determined to not waste another second that she could be asleep in the other woman's strong arms.

The next time Clarke wakes up by an unfamiliar alarm, she is met by lips to the side of her head and a softly whispered, "Sorry, I turned it off. You can sleep more." And so, she does, enjoying the feel of those soft lips on her skin now.

And the third time Clarke wakes up, it's actually because of her own alarm.

Lexa is already awake and scrolling through her emails on her phone, but one arm remains wrapped around Clarke as if her life depends on it. As soon as Clarke turns the alarm off though, she locks her phone and puts it aside before saying, "Good morning, my love. How did you sleep?"

Clarke tiredly rubs her eyes, then groans, "Surprisingly well, however, I am having this nightmare right now where my alarm just went off and I need to leave the comfort of my favorite person's arms to get ready for work."

Lexa chuckles lowly and Clarke can feel it reverberate in the brunette's chest since that's exactly where her head still is located.

"Do you want to take a shower? You can borrow some of my clothes for work if you want to," Lexa asks.

"I also brought a change of clothes actually," Clarke responds.

"Oh, so you just assumed I'd allow you to spend the night in my condo?" Lexa asks teasingly.

"I mean... I just wanted to be prepared. But let's say I forgot a shirt... Will you lend me one of yours?" Clarke cheekily questions. Because let's be real here, she would much rather wear one of Lexa's shirts since that way, she'd be able to feel close to the other woman all day and she would be able to give the shirt a little sniff occasionally.

The brunette's lips, that were resting against Clarke's temple curl up into a grin and Alexandria showers Clarke's face and neck and ear in kisses before simply responding, "You can borrow anything of mine, darling. Whatever I own is yours."

And that felt like a huge step that came a bit soon, yet Clarke still felt her stomach swoop excitedly.

Begrudgingly, Clarke pats Lexa's arms, indicating she wants her to let go, then she gets up, and holds out her hand to help her lover up as well.

Good thing she did too, because Lexa wobbles on unsteady legs as she stands upright, and Clarke looks at her in concern for a moment.

"My legs are asleep, it's fine," the CEO says with a smile plastered on her beautiful features.
