It's the day after her date with Lexa got rudely interrupted by Finn, and Clarke is surprised to see that her fiancé still hasn't messaged or called her. Not that Clarke had messaged him either. Besides the fact that he had pulled her away from Lexa and stolen their time together, he had also jeopardized her mission, so she was angry with him for all of that. Regardless, it wasn't like Finn to not bug her about something or hit on her, especially after a date with the brunette, in which he always showed a little too much interest.

On the one hand, Clarke was glad to have some time to cool down, but on the other, she couldn't stop thinking something was wrong. And even her favorite TV show didn't do much to distract her from her thoughts. Not only those pesky thoughts about her pesky fiancé, but also thoughts about her non-pesky... girlfriend? Is that what they were now? Is that what they should be? Was Clarke letting it go too far?

There was no turning back at this point though. If she pulled away, Lexa would not tell her anything that would progress her mission.

Not that she had told her anything thus far, no matter how many subtle questions Clarke thought of asking. And Clarke wasn't sure if that meant Lexa was a mastermind (she definitely was, though not necessarily a criminal one), or if she genuinely had no idea that her company was being used to launder money. Professionally, Clarke was leaning more and more towards the latter; Lexa was innocent. And personally... she doesn't think she ever believed Alexandria Evergreen was guilty. She never wanted to believe it. So now, all she had to do was prove it, which was easier said than done at this point.

Still deep in thought, Clarke's phone buzzes, and the woman who's been occupying her every waking thought's name appears on her screen.

She taps on the notification and her message thread with the brunette pops up.

It was almost as if the brunette could always read her thoughts and sense what she was thinking about, even from a distance

And for a moment, it stopped Clarke's worrying, until another message comes in, this time from Chief Pike.

And did that make Clarke feel guilty? Sure, maybe a little, but she can't help but breathe a sigh of relief

And did that make Clarke feel guilty? Sure, maybe a little, but she can't help but breathe a sigh of relief. She would finally be able to fully focus on her mission rather than having to juggle two jobs technically speaking and two relationships.
