Lexa walks into the lobby of her office while Lincoln graciously picks up her coffee without breakfast for her at the Grounder Bean. And once the elevator doors on her office floor open, a booming noise startles her.

Every single one of her employees is standing in the hallway and they clap their hands loudly, with wide smiles on their faces.

The usually stoic CEO has to blink away the tears as she makes her way through everyone, greeting them all by name and thanking each and every one of them personally for believing in her, trusting her, and sticking with her and her company.

Soon, they all make their ways into their respective offices, and Lexa follows suit, taking the time to look over her brief statement for the press conference. Until a text message interrupts her.

The rest of the time passes quickly, and Lexa watches intently as two cameras as well as microphones get set up inside one of her meeting rooms.

Ms. Evergreen had suggested traveling to the news station's headquarters, but they had insisted on interviewing her on her home turf.

Overall, the interview went great. Alexandria felt confident as she made her initial statement.

"The allegations that were made against me were false, but I want to be transparent and let you all know that it is true that my company was being used for illegal activities. However, this all happened completely without my knowledge by my formal financial advisor, investor, and mentor, Titus Keeper. He has confessed and his legal trial will follow. I have no further information on this trial. It goes to show though that no matter how well you think you know someone; when push comes to shove, they can still surprise you. I am incredibly grateful for my other employees though, who have stuck with me throughout, never doubting my innocence for a second."

Afterwards, she easily answered most of the interviewers' questions while politely declining to respond to the more personal ones. The ones about her former personal assistant for example.

Throughout, she had even managed to keep a straight face whenever Clarke was brought up. Even when her heart wrenched every. Single. Time.

Clarke's day had gone from bad to worse.

First, she had chased Alexandria away from her own gym thanks to her selfishness. She knew how important working out was for the brunette's wellbeing, yet she had still decided to disturb that peace and intrude in her space, in which Clarke obviously wouldn't be welcomed. All of that had caused the brunette to cancel her gym membership at a place she had been going to almost every single day for years now. Meanwhile, Clarke was a relatively new member who only started showing up to complete a mission to begin with. Besides, Clarke absolutely hated going to that gym. It had been fine when the brunette had worked out with her, but generally, Clarke had always despised gyms. Almost as much as she despised getting up before 5 AM to even get to the gym. Really, she should have just stayed away and let the CEO keep her safe space.
