Three weeks have passed since they finally decided to try being in each other's lives again, and although Clarke had told Lexa she was fine with Lexa visiting her sister, Lexa had been too afraid to actually do it. Because what if Clarke still looked at her with so much disdain and hurt, yet indifference in her eyes just like she had before? Lexa wasn't so sure her heart could take it. Not when it had once again been filled with hope.

They had been texting occasionally, although not every day like they once had. And when they did text, it was usually a short conversation.

Most of the time, it felt like they were strangers again.

Lexa had to keep reminding herself that they were taking things slow, and that this was normal. This didn't mean Clarke hated her again or still hated her. It also didn't mean that they would never get back to where they were or something close to it.

Yet, Alexandria still couldn't help but miss the way they used to talk about random things or how the blonde found a way to turn everything into a flirtatious comment. But she couldn't be the one to start that up again. It would all have to be at the other woman's pace.

Her phone chimes and it startles her from her thoughts. Ever since Clarke was texting again, that sound had stopped annoying her though. Even if it was someone else texting her, the odds were always there that the next time her phone went off, it would actually be Clarke and that was enough for Lexa to get excited about the notifications now.

This time, it actually is Clarke though. So naturally, Lexa scrambles to open the text even though she knows it's unlikely to be anything super exciting.

Curse her treacherous little heart for hoping Clarke might actually want her to drop by. But of course, as soon as Clarke mentioned going there again, Lexa was already checking her schedule to see if she could squeeze it in.

She might have to stay at work a little later if she went, but she would make it work.

So here she is, at around 5.30 PM, nervously putting out her first cigarette of the day in front of the Grounder Bean.

She had been trying to cut down, but she wasn't quite there yet.

When she steps inside, she is greeted by her sister with a mischievous little grin on her face, and by the stunning blonde barista with a tiny smile that actually manages to reach her eyes.

Clarke still had this sad aura hanging around her, but it had gotten so much better compared to when Alexandria had seen her last.

"Sup, sis! Long time no see!" Anya says as she makes her way to her sister and gives her an actual hug. A quick one, but it was firm, and genuine as well.

"Clarke, get over here and come greet my long-lost little sister whom I thought I would never see again as long as I shall live!"

Lexa looks over at Clarke in embarrassment, but the blonde is now full on smiling in amusement as well and she makes her way over to the pair while wiping her wet hands on a tea towel that's slung over her shoulder.
