When Lexa wakes up, something heavy is laying on her chest.

Clarke.

Immediately, she wraps her arms around the blonde's body a little tighter and she buries her smiling face into her hair.

Yesterday and last night had been amazing. Lexa didn't think she had ever felt that happy. That... Loved. No, not loved, it was way too soon for something like that. But still, the warm feeling that had spread across Lexa's entire body wouldn't leave. And honestly, she didn't particularly want it to.

Clarke begins to stir in her arms, so the brunette takes to stroking the blonde's hair and back, trying to coax her back to sleep. Simply because she knows Clarke isn't a morning person, not because she wants the other woman to stay in her arms for as long as possible before having to return to reality.

But alas, the blonde's voice, sleepy and a bit hoarse sounds, "Lex, what time is it?"

And Lexa didn't have a clue. She hadn't bothered checking because it didn't matter that she still had tons of preparations and work to do today. Nothing mattered as much as the woman in her arms. Besides, it was difficult to tell with Clarke's blackout curtains.

Reluctantly she releases one of her arms from the blonde and reaches for her phone on the nightstand.

"It's a little past 10 in the morning," she finally answers as her screen lights up the room.

"Okay. Do you want coffee and breakfast?" the blonde asks with a yawn, not making any moves to leave the comfort of the bed or Alexandria's arms.

"In a minute. I'm too comfortable to get up right now," the brunette answers, pressing a sweet kiss to the other woman's forehead.

Not even five minutes later, Lexa's stomach growls loudly and Clarke chuckles before finally rolling off Alexandria and out of the bed.

"Come on, let me feed you," she says with a soft smile, reaching her hand towards Lexa, who grabs it instantly and lets herself be pulled upright.

Their hands stay connected as they make their way to the kitchen and Lexa lets herself be seated on a chair at the table. And the brunette can't help but let her eyes linger on the blonde's shapely legs and barely covered backside as the latter reaches into cupboards for coffee, then into the fridge for eggs.

As the coffee is brewing and the eggs are cooking, Clarke turns to face Lexa with a smile, resting her hands and back against the countertop.

"So, what are your plans for today?" the blonde asks.

"Right now, enjoying the view."

Clarke shakes her head with a smile, then corrects herself, "Okay, but what does the infamous Alexandria Evergreen usually do when she isn't working, at the gym, or I guess hanging out with me?"

"You must think I am incredibly boring, because that's it. I watch TV when I find the time or I'll go see Anya, but besides that, that's it. As for my plans for today, I suppose that depends."

"On?"

"Your plans."

"Oh... So, if I said I wanted you to stay here a little longer, you would?"

"I'm sure I could be convinced."

"And what is your other option?"

"There's plenty of work waiting for me."

"Again? On a weekend?"

Lexa lets out a sigh before responding, "Yes, the work is never ending and there are not enough hours in a week. Things are going great right now, but I can't afford to lose momentum."
