Hindi umimik si Kitty sa kabilang linya at tanging ingay lang ng paghinga nito ang naririnig niya.

A tears escaped from his eyes, “I-I missed you so much Kitty.” he gasped in the air at pinahid ang luha mula sa kaniyang pisngi. “I-I’m sorry for being an asshole… I know you can’t forgive me for what I’ve done but hear me out this time—”

“W-Why did you leave me? And that divorce paper you signed? D-Do you really mean it?” Nikolai summon all his courage to ask this. Ito talaga ang tanong na gusto niyang masagot.

Matagal na natahimik si Kitty sa kabilang linya. Nikolai lowered his head.

Parang mapipigtas ang lahat ng ugat ni Nikolai sa kaniyang katawan dahil sa narinig. He swallowed the lump on his throat. Dire-diretsong umagos ang masasagang luha niya pababa sa pisngi nito.

His heart aches as his body went numb, “W-Why? D-Do you not love me anymore?” napasinghap siya at binitin ang sinabi. He can’t stop himself from crying, he can’t help but to ask those.

Kitty remain silent. Napapikit nalang siya. “You’re being unfair Kitty. You said you’ll stay and you know what’s worse? You didn’t even told me about Ryker—”

“W-What? Bakit nadawit ang anak ko rito?”

Pagak nalang siyang natawa. “He’s our child Kitty. Ryker was my son and you didn’t even fucking told me about that!” naiinis na si Nikolai, hindi niya maiwasang magtaas ng boses. He’s hurt and feel betrayed.

“It’s my choice not to! You didn’t even know what happened. You’re the one who’s being selfish here in the first place Nikolai!” Kitty roared. Waves of mixed emotions was visible on his face.

Yes, it’s because of his plans, he was trapped on his own bait and now this is the consequences.

“I-I wish I could go back in time to fix all of this.” Nikolai said, weakly.

“I’m tired and it’s too late. You can’t fix the things you already broke Nikolai.”

He bit his bottom lip. “What about Ryker? He can’t have a broken family Kitty, consider that matter.”

Matunog nalang na napabuntong hininga si Kitty. “He can, I told him that his daddy was dead.”

Nagsalubong ang mga kilay ni Nikolai. “W-Why did you say that?”

Ayaw niyang nakikitang umiiyak si Nikolai dahil nasasaktan din siya pero bakit nagkakaganito siya ngayon? Nadadala siya sa kaniyang damdamin. She makes him cry, again.
