Jane and Harry were going to start their fourth year at Hogwarts.

When they got to the castle, Harry, Ron and Hermione went to the gryffindor table, leaving Evelyn on her own, to go to the hufflepuff table.

Whenever they were at Hogwarts, Evelyn felt just a bit more disconnected from Harry. She hated the feeling but it was inevitable since they were in different houses. Although Harry told Evelyn everything, she couldn't help but feel like she's missed the most important moments of Harry at Hogwarts.

For example, the first year before going to the chamber where Harry fought professor Quirrell, Ron and Hermione helped Harry get through most of the difficult parts and she just wished she could've been a part of it.

Or on the second year when Harry lost the train with Ron and they went on the flying car to get to Hogwarts. Hermione getting paralyzed before they finished the poison and were able to help her. Evelyn was never able to do more than just to listen to Harry talk about all the adventures.

She always felt a bit on his shadows but she always tried her best to avoid feeling that way, or to avoid showing it.

This year however, she made a promise to herself to help Harry as much as she can. And she will stick to her promise.

"Welcome to the new students and welcome back to the old ones! It's great to start another year with all of you at Hogwarts." Dumbledore said as he started his speech like every other year. However, what he said next caught everyone off of guard. "This year, we won't have quidditch games-"

Before he could say anything else, everyone started protesting. All Evelyn could think was- why was she considered the dramatic one when everyone else was reacting that way about a game? She could even see the trio at the gryffindor table very very angry, the Weasley's twin shouting that it was unfair, that it was rubbish.

Evelyn couldn't help but laugh at Harry's face, he was really upset about it. If she could, she would take a picture of this exact moment and whenever Harry called her dramatic, she would show it to him.

"Silence!" Dumbledore shouted making everyone shut up. "The reason for this is because we'll be the home of a very exciting and important annual tournament called The Triwizard tournament this year. We'll be welcoming two amazing schools-"

When he was saying this, there was a very weird thunderstorm that started erupting from the ceiling, something they've never seen before, making everyone a bit frightened. Until a door opened and in came a very weird looking guy, who had only one eye and was drinking what looked like it might be whiskey or some sort of drink.

He really did looked a bit drunk but no one said anything about it. The whole room was shocked and a bit scared until Dumbledore welcomed him with a hug, making everyone yet again surprised.

"Welcome old friend!" Now that Dumbledore had said those words, Evelyn has seen him before in some of mom's and dad's pictures. He was part of the Order.

"So, as I was saying. We'll be the host of the Triwizard Tournament." He explained. "Two schools will be joining us this year. One of them is called Durmstrang and the other one is Beauxbatons, and we'll do our best to make them feel at home." Both schools came in the hall in a very unique way to say the least, making everyone be very much engaged in the year ahead, wondering how the tournament will work out.

With that, the feast began and Evelyn started eating calmly, minding her own business. She was known as the quiet girl in the corner, never getting into any conversations and mostly by herself, unless she's with the trio, but even then she never talks much.

"Hey, you're Evelyn, right?" Asked a blonde almost white hair girl, who's name Evelyn knew as Luna Lovegood.

"Yeah, you're Luna Lovegood?" Luna nodded her head and smiled at her.

Luna nodded as she asked "What do you think of this tournament?"

"I don't really care. I would never try to get in anyway. What about you?"

"I find it interesting. It might show what you are really capable of doing with magic. You know, like your magic skills." She said thoughtfully. "I'm guessing Cedric wants to try."

Evelyn looked over and saw how people were congratulating him and she thought that Luna might have been right.

"I don't know what's the big deal..." Evelyn shrugged and they dropped the subject. They started to talk more about other stuff like the new professor and the year ahead. Evelyn was feeling more excited about the new schools that were coming than the tournament itself.

The thought of the tournament actually made her anxious for some reason, she just didn't like the sound of how unsafe it was.

After dinner was over and they were dismissed, Evelyn was walking towards the hufflepuff common room with Luna, when Cedric approached them casually, taking her completely by surprise. They have never actually talked before so it was understandable that she was surprised.

They saw each other at the Quidditch World Cup but only saying hi to one another and that was it.

"Hey Evelyn, how was summer?" It was such a casual question, that Evelyn didn't think twice in answering him.

"Oh, it was nice. I was with my parents and Harry. Nothing much apart from the Quidditch World Cup." She told him. "What about yours?"

"It was great too, got to go to America with my family as my birthday present before the world cup." He explained but paused, it looked like he wanted to ask something and was debating weather or not he should ask it. And it looked like he decided to ask it because what he said next, was even more surprising than him just talking to her "Hey, talking about Harry, are you and him like something of an item?"

For some reason, Evelyn felt herself blushing but tried to shrugged it off and tried to answer as best as she could "no, of course not. We're just friends since we were very little. Our parents used to be best friends too." Cedric nodded and somehow smiled at that answer, Evelyn wasn't sure why though.

"So I don't feel bad if I ask you this... would you mind going out on a date with me?" Evelyn look at Luna surprised, as if wondering if he really just asked her that and it wasn't just a trick. Luna of course was minding her own business and Evelyn just noticed she was not even beside her anymore but went to see some ghosts that were in the hallway.

"Uh-"

"It's totally fine if you don't want to- I just would really like to get to know you." Cedric even looked nervous as he asked her that question, making Evelyn even more confused by all of this but answered anyway.

"Yeah, sure. It sounds nice." Cedric smiled in relief and seemed excited.

"Perfect, how about this friday, at 8pm?" He asked casually once again, somehow Evelyn was able to not show how nervous she actually was.

"Sounds great."

"Perfect. See you in our common room at 8pm." Cedric extended his hand making Evelyn extend hers as he took it and kissed it slightly, sending shivers down Evelyn's spine, something she has never felt before.

Cedric sent her a wink and walked off with his friends congratulating him like when they were in the great hall and Cedric said he was going to participate in the tournament.

Luna came back casually after Cedric left "why do you have your face all flushed? Are you feeling okay?" She asked Evelyn.

"N-nothing, let's go to my common room, yeah?"

"Actually, I'm going another way. See you around." Luna replied, leaving Evelyn alone with her own thoughts.

Did Cedric really wanted to go out with her? Could it be possible that it was a trick? What would Harry think of it?

Wait... why would she care what Harry thought of it?
