It was Christmas break and they all went back to their homes. Evelyn was dreading this time of the year because she had to face Harry again and the fact that her parents were still missing.

Thankfully, Steph was able to arrange things with her family so she could be with her because Evelyn surely needed her by her side. Although she was going to stay at The Borrow, she was afraid of feeling alone.

Harry was the contrary. Although he was feeling sad because he could feel what Evelyn was feeling, he was happy too, because it was the first Christmas with Sirius, like in a real family.

They gathered together on Christmas Eve and sat by the tree. Harry started to explain what he had heard Snape talking to Draco and Evelyn was keeping quiet because no one knew that she was there too.

"Has it ever occured to you Harry that maybe Snape is pretending to offer Draco help-"

"That's not what it sounded like." And this time Evelyn had to agree.

"Perhaps Harry's right, Remus. I mean, to break an unbreakable vow-"

"It comes down to weather or not you trust Dumbledore's judgment. Dumbledore trusts Snape, therefore I do."

"Dumbledore can make mistakes, he said-"

"You're blinded by hatred."

"No I'm not-"

"Yes you are." Sirius was about to intervene, since he wasn't liking how Remus was talking to him, but he let Remus continue. "People are disappearing Harry, daily." He looked at Evelyn and she knew he was making a reference at her parents. "We can only place our trust in a handful of people, if we start fighting amongst ourselves we're doomed."

With that, Tonks and Remus left the room, leaving Harry with a disappointed feeling in his stomach and Evelyn could feel it too. "Maybe time will make it easier for us? Maybe with time we will be able to tell if we can truly trust Snape or not." Evelyn suggested, making Harry nod but he was feeling angry.

"Harry, it's not easy for others to see what you see. Specially when they weren't there listening to that conversation. But words are only words until the actions speak for themselves." Sirius said, trying to ease Harry's anger.

"I guess you're right." Harry said. "But Evelyn was there too, she also heard what I heard, right?"

"I did, but I do trust Dumbledore too. After all, he was the one who woke me up, he has helped me and my family a lot throughout the years. Although my family didn't trust him that much, I do trust him. Like Remus said, we can't start fighting against ourseleves, it would make things much more harder."

"Are you talking about this or are you talking about us? Because if I'm correct, you were the one who said that they needed 'time' for themselves." Evelyn could tell he wasn't meaning what he was saying, he was just angry with Remus for not believing him, but something inside of her also told her that he was also angry at her.

"Harry-"

"No, I'm tired of not knowing where we stand. I'm tired of feeling like I did something wrong when you don't even tell me what I did. How I'm I supposed to make things better when I don't know what I did wrong?"

By this time, Sirius understood that he was not meant to hear this conversation so he left the room, leaving them alone. He saw Ron wanting to make his way inside the room but Sirius stopped him. "Let's give them some space."

"But-"

"Ron, shut up and come with me." He only nodded and left with Sirius. Letting Evelyn and Harry continue their conversation.
