Today was the first task and everyone could feel the excitement in the air, at least the excitement of those not competing.

However, for the students who's lives are going to be in danger today, they couldn't stop pacing around the tent before the task begins. Harry was pacing back and forth, Diggory was playing with his hands as he also paced back and forth.

Harry and Cedric crossed paths but none of them could say anything to each other. They were so nervous that no words came out. Only the look of knowing, knowing that they were both going to go through the same experience. Hopefully alive.

"Pssst Harry-" Harry suddenly heard, making his heart skip a bit. It was Evelyn. What was she doing here?

"Harry is that you?"

"Yes..."

"H-How are you feeling?" She couldn't sleep, knowing that both her friends were going to be in great danger today, fighting freaking dragons. But she was feeling more nervous for Harry. She wasn't able to help him but she hoped he had a plan.

"Uh.. nervous?"

"You just have to concentrate. And then-"

"Fight a dragon?" Harry finished for her, the reality of the situation crashing down on him.

Evelyn could feel it too and she didn't care anymore. She pushed the curtains of the tent away and pulled Harry into a big crushing hug.

She didn't want to let go, she hasn't talked to Harry in what felt like forever. Their fight not resolved yet either. But she needed him to understand that she was there for him no matter what.

Sadly, their moment was interrupted by a big flash and a very annoying voice "Ah! Young love. What a precious thing it is!"

Harry somehow felt protective and pulled Evelyn behind him, afraid that the women would do something harmful to her.

"If something- tragic happens today, you might be able to make it on the front page." She said, as the quill kept writing.

"You've got no business here. This tent is only for competitors and friends." Krum said, also annoyed at the presence of Skeeter.

"Nevermind that, I got what I needed." She said with a smirk going back out. Harry's heart wanted to run towards her and just ripped that page off, but knew better.

"Cedric!" Evelyn said once she saw him and went to hug him too. Harry felt jealousy once again. Of course she wasn't here for him, she was here for Diggory.

They hugged longer than Harry and her did, making him feel very much lonley. Why did Ron had to be angry at him? Couldn't he tell that Harry really didn't want to be in this stupid tournament?

"Good day champions! Gather around please." They heard Dumbledore say with someone from the ministry of magic by his side.

"Now you've waited, you've wondered and at last the moment has arrived, the moment only the four of you can fully appreciate." Suddenly, he noticed the presence of Evelyn between Cedric and Harry, taking him by surprise. "What are you doing here miss Finley?"

"Oh, sorry I'll uh- go-"

"Wait, can she stay? Please." Cedric asked, he knew the most normal answer would be no, but there was nothing to lose if he tried.

Dombuledore thought for a moment and there was nothing wrong with her staying. "Yes yes she can stay."

Cedric let out a sigh of relief and took Evelyn's hand in his, she smiled up at him reassuringly, squeezing his hand in hers.

Harry really wanted to just run away, he hated every moment of this.

"Champions in a circle around me." Everyone else trying their best to follow orders but their nervousness was getting the best of them.

Each of the champions started to take out a dragon out of the bag, Evelyn couldn't help but take also Harry's hand when it was his turn.

Each of the dragons looked scarier and scarier as they were taken out from the bag, making Evelyn's heart want to explode out of stress.

"-Your objective is simple, to collect the egg, this you must do since inside the egg you'll have a clue that without it you cannot hope to proceed to the next task." Evelyn has tuned out the beginning of that explanation, since she just realized she was holding both Cedric's and Harry's hands in hers.

What is she going to do about this? Can she truly support each of them the same without feeling guilty about the other?

Would they be okay with her supporting the two of them?

She just wish she knew the answer. But all she could do for now is support them, even if they wouldn't like it.

She cannot change how she feels for both of them.

"Mr Diggory, the sound of the cannon means-" before Dumbledore could finish the sentence, the sound went off, making Evelyn's pounding heart pound even faster if it was even possible, making her put her hands in her ears, scared out of her mind.

She hated every moment of it.

"Do you want me to go outside and support you from there?" Evelyn managed to asked before Cedric could go out.

"No, stay here. I want you to be here when it's over." He said making her nod.

"I'll be here."

He smiled a bit at her, but she could tell how nervous he was. He kissed the back of her hand, that was trembling "I'll be fine."

Now he had a motivation. He needs to do well. For Evelyn.

As they waited in the tent, Evelyn didn't realize that Harry would be the last to go on. When Cedric came back out with a very happy grin in his face, she knew he was perfectly fine. He then understood that she wanted to stay for Harry as well.

"I'll see you after for our date, yeah?" Evelyn nodded and hugged Cedric, thankful that he understood.

Evelyn stayed with Harry for what felt like hours. She wanted to talk to him, talk about anything so he would stop being so nervous, but he was so deep in thought, it's as if he tuned everything out.

"Harry, it's going to be okay." She said to him, making him finally snap out of his thoughts and look at her. For a moment he forgot he was not alone.

"Why are you here though? Weren't you here for Cedric?" He didn't even sounded rude, just tired. Tired of waiting, tired of the whole situation probably. Evelyn wasn't sure.

"I'm here for both of you Harry." She said, as she took his hands in hers.

"Well I don't think you can. Not both of us can win this. Only one can." He said but somehow Evelyn was thinking that maybe, he was not talking about the tournament.

Was he talking about what she hoped he was talking about? But, if he was, why was she hoping it was about their relationship? Did Evelyn felt something else towards Harry?

What about Cedric? She can't do that to him. But she was hoping Harry was talking about what she was thinking about.

Did that made sense?

"Harry-" Evelyn wanted to say that she just wanted to support him, to remember him that he was not alone, but she didn't get the chance to do it since before she could, they called him, indicating that it was his turn.

All she could hope for was that he would do great. She knows he has it in him.

He needs to be able to do it. He needs to be okay.
