Harry has been having trouble sleeping for the past three months or so. He hasn't told anyone although Ron knew. He has seen him waking up sweaty and always asked 'are you okay?' but Harry always answered the same 'I'm fine, don't worry'.

It has gotten way worse since they found Mr. Crouch dead after walking with Hagrid in the forest after the second task.

But Ron knew. He was starting to get a bit worried so decided to tell someone about it. And if there was anybody that could talk and get some sense into Harry, was Evelyn. He had a small feeling that Evelyn wasn't that fond of him, but he didn't care. He needed to talk to her so maybe she could help Harry.

As they were in breakfast one morining, Ron decided to make his way towards Evelyn at the Hufflepuff table. Evelyn was sitting with Steph, who Ron thought was actually quiet pretty but he couldn't do anything about it though. He has heard that she and Luna were going out so any chance he thought he had with her, were out of the window.

"Hey Evelyn... Can I maybe talk to you in private?" Evelyn was taken aback of course, but nodded either way. Ron wouldn't talk to her alone if it wasn't absolutely necessary. It was a very rare sight indeed.

Steph took the hint and left their side, Ron sitting were Steph just sat. "So um... I was just wondering if maybe Harry has told you about his nightmares recently?"

Evelyn looked surprised, she didn't know anything about Harry's nightmares. "No, he hasn't said anything."

"He's been having these nightmares for like three months now but I feel like they are getting worse... I feel like maybe he wouldn't like me telling you this but it has me worried. He always wakes up with sweat all over his body and gets tired easily. He's trying to show that he's okay but I know he's not... Could you maybe uh- talk to him about it? Maybe don't tell him that I told you- Just that you would like to know what his been dreaming about? I don't know- just-"

"Yes Ron, don't worry, I'll ask him. I won't mention you."

Ron let out a sigh of relief and thanked her "I know we usually don't talk but I know you are the closest to Harry beside me, so maybe he'll feel safe telling you."

Evelyn laughed at the 'besides me' part but understood Ron's point. "I'll try my best."

It's been about a week and a half since Ron had told Evelyn about the nightmares and she hasn't been able to talk about it with Harry without it sounding weird. She was thinking way too much about it and could feel Harry's aura changing throughout the week. With the last task of the tournament coming closer, it also felt like Harry was slipping away.

But she won't let that happen. Before the tournament, she needed to make sure to have that conversation with Harry and help him anyway she could.

That was her promise at the beginning of the year, wasn't it?

Just as the class of potions ended, Evelyn made up her mind. It was now or never.

"Hey Harry. Can we talk?"

Harry snapped out of his own thoughts, something he's been doing a lot lately, and looked at Evelyn. Just then she understood what Ron had told her.

He looks very much tired. More tired than ever before.

"Yeah, sure. Is everything okay?"

"Let's go to the backyard for fresh air. I think it would be better to talk there."

Ron looked over at the pair but didn't say anything. He knew that she was gonna ask Harry about the nightmares so Ron dragged Hermione out of the way.

Harry and Evelyn went outside, thankfully it wasn't crowded so they could have some privacy. She already knew how she was going to start the conversation.

"Harry... I've seen you way more tired lately. And although you usually don't sleep that well like me, I know something's up. You're dozing off and not engage in conversations... what's going on?"

Harry was of course taken aback. He didn't think anyone noticed. But of course Evelyn did. After all, she knew him best. Or that's what he has always thought.

"I- uh I'm fine really-"

"Are you seriously lying to me? Harry, we've known each other since we were babies, you can't lie to me."

Harry debated whether or not he should tell her about his nightmares. The curious thing is that it has been the same one.

Evelyn could see that she has got to him. He was gonna break.

Harry run stressful fingers through his hair, as he couldn't look at Evelyn anymore.

"Please Harry, I'm worried about you. You know you can trust me."

Harry sigh in frustration as he gave in. He couldn't hold it in anymore. "Fine- in this dream I was in a house and Voldemort was there, only he wasn't quite human, and Wormtail was there too, and Mr. Crouch's son." Evelyn nodded so he could continue. "It was weird, it was as if they were helping Voldemort gain power somehow. And then I was in this graveyard and I wake up."

Evelyn didn't really understand the nightmare, it was very weird indeed but she could tell that just by Harry talking about them, it has helped him.

"But they are just nightmares Harry, you don't need to worry about it." She said so she could try and comfort him. It did help somehow, but it helped more when she pulled him in a hug.

Harry didn't protest as he hugged her back. Her head on his chest as her arms wrapped around his waist. She was just so tiny that it was very comfortable whenever she hugged him.

"Thank you... I needed to get that off my chest. I told professor Dumbledore about it and he also said not to get too attached to those dreams, but they just seem so real."

Somehow Evelyn understood Harry's point and it kind of worried her that Dumbledore told him not to get attached... did he say that because they are real? Or because they won't stop?

"Also uh now that we're here I wanted to say sorry." Harry suddenly said, making Evelyn break the hug.

"Wait, why are you saying sorry?"

"I- I've been feeling bad lately because I wasn't the one to save you in the second task."

"Oh Harry. You can't always save everyone-"

"I know, but that's not what I mean... I've been taking you for granted. I realized that now. Cedric was the one who saved you because he has known how to appreciate your presence and cares deeply for you. I thought I did too but now I know I didn't show it enough... I'm really sorry for being such a shitty friend this year."

Evelyn's heart was beating fast at those words and butterflies erupted in her stomach because now he was looking at her. Straight to her eyes.

Harry doesn't know why, but a new wave of confidence run through his vains as he looked at Evelyn. Her beautiful eyes, her beautiful face.

"I- um I hope it's okay if I do this." He merely whispered as he went closer and closer, waiting for her to push him away but she didn't

All that was going through her mind was 'is this really happening?' 'I'm I dreaming?'

Until their lips connected. Some kind of electricity erupted from the kiss, but they didn't pull away, instead, it drew them closer and closer if it was even possible.

This is the missing piece. This is what both of them were longing for.
